Feb Poker: Royal Flushes = everyone at table gets 5,000 points

A Royal of any suit dealt on any table during the February tournament will earn everyone at the table 5,000 points!!

Table talk is still not ethical. If you are 4 cards to a royal you may want to check?? The only way to collect this bonus is to have two players call, check or otherwise be in the hand while all the cards are dealt, the hand is finished and all the cards turned up. As long as at least 2 players finish the hand EVERYONE at the table will receive 5000 points. Please take a screenshot.

    Good luck!

Very interesting! But who wouldn't go "ALL IN" with a Royal? Then you have to rely on someone to call?

That makes the odds so much higher.

2 players calling would be tough, let alone one caller. would have to be quads vs straight flush vs royal flush in the hand

I think he meant two players including the one with the Royal Flush.

This won't happen but it's nice of SBR to try.

Youre right Just note the hand number.

If you have a royal you need to be checking.

Exactly! If you have a roayal just check down and take the free 5,000 pts! If someone goes all in then you bust their ass out!

It's not a hard concept to understand.

No word on whether the person with the royal has to have only one card or both in the hole for the royal?

It would be nice for others at the table that win 5000pts to throw the royal flush guy 100pts or so a piece though...if he checks down the winning hand.

    very nice
i assume you don't need 2 cards of the royal in your hand?
a lot of casinos have this rule, for example if 10jqk hearts were on the board (or ace also) then it wouldn't count at some places

Any 5 cards. They can all be up cards so no one actually has one of the royal cards.

What is the odds of a Royal in holdem when all 7 are dealt like 1 in 100,000 hands? We will deal way more than that I would guess. (for 5 points someone help me with my math; whats the odds of a royal being dealt in hold'em with all 7 cards dealt?)

Yes. Or, if all 5 cards are dealt up, flop, river and turn, then still need two people to have a complete hand. If everyone folds it is not a complete hand. Need two people to not fold.

If you have a royal flush i guess the key is... DONT GO ALL IN... slow play bet 20 or whatever the min bet is. I guess you are helping out everyone at the table but still getting 5K worth of points.

    Ding, ding ding!

If you are looking at 4 to the royal from the flop on then check or call. Don't give anyone a reason to fold. its just one hand and if you can score 5,000 points then do it.

Put the odds of this happening right up there with getting struck by lightning! Man, what if you slow play or check and it folds down to just one guy, damn that would suck! You should hand out some lower amount John, just for hitting a royal.

Odds of drawing a royal flush from the 5 community cards 1 in 649,739.

Odds of drawing a 5 card royal flush from 7 randomly drawn cards 1 in 30939.

It's a little tricky to work out the math on a full ring holdem game since you have 10 players combining a set of two hole cards with the 5 community cards you can (obviously!) have more than one possible combination per hand.

The fact that most pocket cards will be folded before they get to "see" all 5 community cards -- I'd suspect that the number of royal flushes per full-ten-player-table-hand would be near the 1/30939 number, so guessing here maybe one Royal Flush OPPORTUNITY per appx 30k hands, times the probability that the hand goes to showdown*, what are we at, maybe one chance in 100k-150k hands would be my guess....

*But if I have a Royal Flush the probability of going to showdown is 100% you say? Aha what if your pocket cards are J hearts 4 diamonds and you fold pre-flop and the board comes out Kh Qh Ah Th 6s...you get the idea.
    Cool promotion, whatever the odds.

odds arent all that high. probably 1 in 10k-20k hands. most of the time you would play 2 suited broadways. ive seen 10 or 11 in about 200k hands on ftp and ps with a lot of that being on rush so i dont see all the hands.

Thats what I was thinking. Basically one in a 110,000 hands. That assumes 1 out of every 3.5 hands heads to a showdown. We should deal 200,000+ hands in February so let's see, might get a couple.
