Enuff is Enuff....SBR poker is a waste of time

I got disconnected numerous times and about the 15th time I got locked out....waited 5 minutes logged back in completely and wound up finishing 4th. would have been nice to compete on a level field

sorry to hear man, what OS are you running? Win 7? What have other peeps with disconnect probs running? I've been using a super old copy of XP, and haven't had the terrible disconnect problems others have. I wonder if the folks getting kicked have any factors in common? Maybe SBR already looked into this.........

For what it is worth, I run Win7 and have never had the disconnect problems noted. The poker client does seem to be very affected by flakey network connections.

If you are using wireless, check that you do not have a channel conflict with a nearby router.

I have seen a lot of intermittent issues caused by this type of problem.

    Cheers.

Ok so that seems to rule out Win7 by itself as a factor. It does seem anecdotally that some people here claim to be playing on other poker sites @ the same time as SBR and only get disconnected from SBR. While it's possible, there seem to be a lot of cases for it to be poor network connection. Maybe the SBR poker is less tolerant to higher network roundtrip times (ping times) than other poker sites?

Maybe it's a geographic location thing, i.e all people coming into the server over a certain undersea cable or something. Again, I'd assume some of these obvious answers have been looked into....

se if it happens with another computer (even if u have to borrow one) could be a WLAN driver that needs an update. Or just try and plug directly in with ethernet cable and see if it happens again. If dropouts continue, then email SBR. Like I said, i had dropouts, but i think it was down to my WLAN driver.
