The Absolute Poker Cheating Conspiracy has just blown up even more....

    http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...fpart=all&vc=1

Its a longggg thread but its definitely worth the read if you play at Absolute.

Basically, the runner up in the infamous 1K tourney that PotTripper won by making calls with 10 high requested the hand history for the tourney. Well, support from AP screwd up BIGGGGGG time and sent the complete hand history for thee whole tourney in an Excel file.

In the excel file, it shows the hand history for every table, and inclues everyone's hole cards. In this, potripper never calls a bet on the river when he's beat.... always folds if the opponents flop top pair, etc etc.

There's more info on this excel file that actually shows the IP address & the User_ID of all the people that come and go from the table. Well, 2 minutes after the tourney starts, there just happens to be a user that enters the table and never leaves for the next 2.5 hours. All of the people view the tables for at the most 20 minutes.. this one is there for the whole time until the excel file cuts off cause its too large. On top of that, the User_ID just happens to be in 300s...meaning it was one of the first user ids (most likely a tester.... as all the other user_id's are in the millions). The IP address for this User_ID is in Costa Rica.....

It should be intersteing where it goes from here...

AP is definitely in trouble, though.

I emailed PRR yesterday to alert you guys about the new findings. Many sites are considering removing, blacklisting or have already blacklisted AP and UB. Why does AP still get an A and UB a B+? I hope PRR will reconsider these grades considering the industry has had it with that group.

PRR is completely irrelevant in my eyes. SBR sold PRR to the person that currently owns it, and his group has done absolutely nothing to further the site. They are nowhere near to poker what SBR is to sportsbook sites, and are just taking money anywhere they can without regard to player interest. SBR ought to focus on poker more as well, as this is the premier site on the internet for book information and player recourse....

I could never win at AP or UB. I lost more money at AP than all other sites combined. Needless to say I've stopped playing there.

I was under the impression they were related. Obviously I was mistaken. It makes sense though since I had two posts I've made in a forum for a site I worked for copied without any credit and no response when I emailed them. That isn't something I would expect from an SBR brand.

FWIW they have not even bothered to reply to my email from two days ago.

Only place i really trust playing is pokerstars. Its funny how I consistently do well on there but on Bodoglife I used to lose all the time. I keep money in bodoglife(for sports) still and love playing poker, but I still wont play on it. It literally has the worst server and i gurantee someone or some people are scamming money out of that site. They are probably making an absolute killing and washing the money fairly well. I hope they get straight(JAILED AND RAPED FOR LIFE)(is the rake not enough u greedy ****) Its in antigua and I bet people there are just laughing at people dumping $ into that poker site. They have to be. Its just hilarious how bad you get taken. HOW IS IT STILL UP AND RUNNING?

At bodoglife poker the money tables used to be very fair. Then after the anti-gambling legislation hit things seemed to turn around - bad beats galore. I stopped playing the money tables, and just marveled how bad beats would dominate freeroll tourny games month after month. Bodog used to have a great freeroll at 9:45 pm every night (1500 players max with payouts to top 99) - Now 5000 players max.

If I have time, I still play the 9:45pm freerolls (things have settled a bit) and (if you wait out the traps and mines for 4+ hours) take whatever you win and use it to play a fun parlay at the book.

    - I love the fact that bodoglife's poker winnings are instantly available at the Bodoglife sportsbook - where at other sites you have to actively transfer those funds.

The first hour of the bodoglife freeroll is full of people doing rebuys recklessly. Them come the freeroll add-ons after the first hour. These rebuys and addons are a bit suspect because they could well be house players or house bots using house money. Plus watching these all in idiot maniacs accumulate money after 3+ rebuys makes it a bit frustrating because the site is a bit slow at moving you to another table.

The real challenge to the Bodoglife freeroll (or any freeroll) comes the hour before the money...However, I have noticed as you approach the money or the final table, the bad beats seem to increase in frequency - particularly as the blinds swallow you up. I am not a great poker player, but staying to the tight aggressive / never all in before the flop/ avoid the loose cannons / throw in an affordable bluff once in awhile - methods seems to work.

The biggest fear regarding ALL on-line poker is collusion, and I don't really see a solution to that plague because it is way too easy to do and very difficult to spot.

As for what happened at AP, not surprising at all considering there is no real regulatory body auditing what these sites do, and the players are the only ones who spot the clear irregularities going on and take the time to sift through the hand files.

amazing. That's why we need to regulate our own poker sites here in the U.S. I wish some of the big casinos would get involved.

That may add peace of mind, but online poker will still have a lot of vulnerabilities. Hackers are smart people and can find loopholes in any software.

I don't have any more faith that a random MGM poker room if ever regulated would be any safer than a multi-million dollar operation like Poker Stars. I am sure both do/would ultimately invest a reasonable amount in security, but bots, cheaters, hackers will still find a way to attack the legitimacy of the games.

Yeah they still have AP as an A and UB as a B+. They have taken AP off the main page though and reported it. Oh well, they aren't the only ones.

I always suspected "super accounts" existed.

Now that it is practically confirmed, who will ever trust on-line poker to play large stakes of money ever again?

After the US anti gambling act passed, it seemed on line bad beats increased by 100x.

What happened at AP just confirmed it all.

An audit would likely reveal little and once they are done things would just return to normal because there would still be no real oversight.

AP was rogue long before this, comparing them to the rest of the industry is not fair to all the legit poker rooms.

True, but who really watches those "legit" poker rooms, and are there regular audits (besides internal ones) that are conducted there? PRR? Please.

Poker players will go to on-line services regardless of the existence of bots, super accounts, in house collusion....because it is such a great game, and most casual players find the ease and convenience of on-line poker irresistible.

However, AP's scandal points out the inherent dangers involved when large sums of money are at stake.

As a result, who or what is to say are the "legit" rooms out there?

I play freeroll every night some times I get up at 4am to play and the 2:40pm I have notice if you don't play for the first hour you are still in, but your money is low and you could win ot lose it. I make it to the $3.00 most of the time and alot of the time I lose it too. alot of players are so slow on thinking to play the game. and some of them do make it to 99 places. win or lose I like it alot.

Good luck to everyone who does play and if you do play look me up ( swifty) is my screen name on there. hope to play against you guuys and lady's

    Online Poker

I've played online for 3 years and done very well....mainly Bodog, Stars....Pacific before the legislation! I can't say much about Absolute...the only time I deposited there...the games were way..way too tight. I was 45 minutes into a $50 sit-n-go and nobody was knocked out yet! I can vouch for Bodog. I play there almost every night...$8-16 limit up to $30-60. If you're patient and observe the loose kids gambling it up on there it's not that hard to be successful. I don't claim to be Phil Ivey. They pay out and it gives me another backup line for sports. Anyone that plays tournaments on Bodog or Stars can also be tracked on pokerdb (database) which is part of bluffmagazine.com. Its a great tool for tourament players to analyze whos at your table! GL

Yea but if the U.S. regulated it, there would be some consequences for cheating. What can we do if some Bigwigs are cheating online poker in Costa Rica or Antiqua. Pretty hard to do anything about that. I say let the big hotels run online poker. My 2 cents.

    "absolute power (poker) corrupts absolutely"...

anyone thinking that an online poker site (or casino...) was "absolutely" 100% run legitimately is naive.

when there's no way of checking the legitimacy of a game, then why would the game necessarily be legitimate? these guys aren't mother theresa.
