Sweet Hand The Other Night in Live Game

Played some 1-3 NL outside Indy the other night and was down about $75 from my $300 buy-in after a few hours. Nothing much happening, but then a guy raises to $15 or whatever. I'm on the button and call with two red 10s. A nice Indian guy I'd be talking to called right after me and then 1 other caller.

    Flop is 6 T (spades) Q (spades)

Original bettor makes it $40. Everybody chases in these fkn games so I decide slowplaying would be stupid and make it $80. Guy across from me goes to fold, but I say "hold on" because the Indian guy is still holding his cards and staring. He then says All-in for over $400 or something. The original bettor calls pretty quickly and I didn't know wtf to think except I was sure I was ahead of him. Then I tell the Indian guy I hope like hell you have 666 because he just smooth called with JJ a few hands before and QQQ is not out of the question. Well it was 666. The original bettor had AJ spades and felt like he had to run with us because they have a $2k-$4k royal flush bonus. Turn was a Q so full boat and they were down to 2 outs. Dodged those and tripled up. Felt pretty good, but I could've been 666 vs TTT just as easily

Nice hit, hammer!... they'd have to show me QQ face up for me to fold on that flop. Was this a casino game?

Yeah I wasn't folding for sure. Yes new WSOP poker room outside Indy.

Won another $725 last night. Running so good! Flopped Quad 2s and this aggressive player kept popping the pot. I only led out $125 into about a $350 pot after the river because I didn't think he had much. He hesitated forever and folded. Told me he was considering jamming $450 to get me to fold. They have a bounty board and I thought I won another $500 on that, but they already hit Quad 2s somehow and the board resets on Sunday

A month ago guy hit a royal on the next table for $4k. Guy last night a few tables down hit a royal with AK spades plus guy had 89 spades for the $25k bad beat. Guy got $6K for the Royal and another $5k for the winning part of the bad beat. Not a bad haul for 1 f hand at 1/3 nl

Killing them again tonight til the very end. They have a $250 hourly best hand bonus and I hit Quad 6s with only 2 tables playing. I was already hot and up $650 so that was going to make it $900. Like 7 min to go and the guy next to me makes Quad Aces. I knew that was a bad sign, but I'll play to the button. A bad beat and 2 fl draws later I'm down to + $285.

Finally get out of there with a poker buddy and we go to Dennys. I see 3 cops come in as we're leaving and tell the lady I'd like to buy them dinner. She says they meet (2:30am) every night and its 7 of them all together Left her a $100 and said anything left is a tip.

    Good karma!!! God Bless America!!

Only been there once way back in the Poker boom. $20/40 limit game. Too far though....I'm actually like 30 min south of downtown Indy

    Back there last night +$140

Same shit....got wayyyyyy up and didn't leave. I'm getting punch drunk cause I'm not sleeping enough, but I think I was up like $800-$900. This crazy Chinese guy kept raising bs and I almost snap called him with AQ high and won like $200.

Then like 2 hands later I had K8 spades and raised small on the button. Several callers and flop is:

579 with 2 spades. I bet like $35 with flush draw and gutshot. Chinese guy calls. Turn is Queen spades. He doesn't check to me or decide to check raise but leads out for like $110 or something. I act like I'm really thinking about it and shove $350 or whatever. He calls and loses. At the time I was thinking he was drawing with Ace spades, but may've had a set or 2 pair? Never saw it

Then I busted a dude with KK with 89 hearts for about $200, but that was my high point. Should've bailed out(((

Got bluffed on 2 medium pots and MFer showed me. I owe him, but he's good. Probably smart to avoid him next time

Ran QQ into AA four handed....that was like $300 right there. Last shitty one was QQ busted by AJ on a Jack high board. Turn and River were diamonds to put 4 on the board and I had Queen diamonds, but he only showed the Jack when we went all-in on the flop and I remembered he said the other was an Ace. Sure as fk it was the Ace diamonds. Luckily he was short and only had like $100 or something after the flop

I'll be back tonight if I get more sleep The game is very beatable.

Dude cracked me yesterday after calling $15 preflop with 24 off suit. Wasn't a blind either. Probably be back tonight or tomorrow though. You want to play at places where drunks call $15 preflop 1/3 game with 24 off.

I had J8 spades on the button. Silly raise after a few limpers to possibly steal if I miss, but maybe I'm a loose dumbshit too? Atleast raising the button on a drawing hand means you'll most likely see 4 cards if youre drawing. Actually I rarely raise or play stuff like that for more then the minimum.

249 all spades. I bet $25 ...guy calls with 24 off. 4 clubs turn he checks I shove and lose my last $100 or so. Only lost $250 total. Think I was 82% on the flop

Officially pokered out for a while

Black tens call $15 1/3 NL and flop comes down:

    T (hearts) 6 diamonds 8 diamonds

Long story short villain flopped nuts 79 diamonds. He's kind of loose so I don't put him on the nuts till he reraises my checkraise and its too late. Still thought he could have 66 or 88. Didn't hit and lost $650 (only started w $250) OUCH. What hurts worse is driving home I realized we had 2 goddamn shots at the bad beat. If the turn or river is T diamonds I win $10,500 ($10k bad beat and $500 bounty board w quad tens). He could've won $8500 with the winners share bad beat $7500 and $1k for straight flush. Whats really dumb is he bet $100 on the turn (full pot) and would've scared off any callers if they had something less then a set. You want to see 5 or 10 diamonds for $1k if you can. Not like he didn't have the fl draw too

So this thread started with set of 10s winning and ends with set of 10s getting bent over. Weird
