    tournament question preflop

    9 handed game

around 150 left start paying at 100

    blinds 500/1000 50 ante

    UTG folds

    UTG+1 (65000ish) makes it 2500

    MP shoves for 11500

    all folds to UTG+1

Should this player ever really fold?

I certainly wouldn't fold in that situation. MP has 11.5 bb stack, pretty wide range there.

This was a million years ago but I had Kings, thought I was going to get action for sure though on that one.

obviously he probably had shit to begin with, saw how tight you typically play, knew you had a monster and was way behind...

didn't want to call off roughly 15 percent more of his stack by calling and having to show what was in all likelihood a carseller type hand.....

if you wanted action, smooth call and risk an ace on the flop.

on a side note, anything less than a shove with your stack screams you have a monster and want some action, so the shove was the better move to make in that regard......
