Prefer the turbo but with a larger starting stack.

Maybe 2-3/day max with larger prize pools.

Also keen on much larger prize pools with bigger buyins.

I am not sure we have enough reg players to support a big buyin tourney at the moment.

    How many points each buy-in?

How many do you think would play?

Just over 40 entries has been the maximum in either Deepstack or Weekend Turbo, which is an improvement, but think we need a lot more regs to support a big buyin.

If you play, and try to bring one extra person with you, we can probably deal with leaving it free for regular members for another weekend.

    I'm just throwing out suggestions...

I was thinking somewhere between 100-1000 point buyin.

The field would be smaller than a regular weekend tourney but I think we could get 15-25 players.

1000 point buyin seems way too high. I think most people wouldn't do more than 200 points. 50 to a 100 point buyin would be good with rebuys for the first several levels or even to the first break or something. Would this be a guaranteed prizepool and I"m assuming there would still be a rollover tied to it?

May be hard to sale 100-200 bet point buy in and then when you win its poker points meaning 3x rollover !! Unless there is a sizable kick in!! Ill play either way just thinking it may be a hard sale to some!!

O I agree I would love it if there was no rollover I'm just guessing that's the case because my entire time I've been on this site that is all I've seen when it comes to poker tournaments on SBR.

There shouldn't be any rollover unless they are adding points to the prizepool.

Yep i just thought with large buy in some players may have issue maybe not!! Normally with SBR putting all the prize points in I completely understand the roll over and I enjoy the ring games especially on weekends with hi- lo game its a lot of fun!!

Yeah man, the Omaha games on the weekends are great, and I really appreciate them. Wish they were available on weekdays, but if that were the case no one would likely play NL ring then.

SBR really needs to consider changing it and opening omaha games 7 days a week. Hardly anyone plays the holdem games anyway and why does SBR care if you play omaha or holdem as long as some ring game is being played.

Sounds good. I'm okay with any buyin up to 200 points. Maybe run a poll on here to see the interest? Maybe add the points that you are using for these weekend tourney promos and add them to a buyin tournament and that would garner more interest? People might not prefer a buyin tournament though so idk.

That would be interesting. Has SBR ever run Omaha H/L Tourneys?

    Agreed.

I also vote for Omaha tourneys as well, that would be fun.

Trying Omaha or Omaha hi-lo tournament at least once just to see how it would go sounds great

    Gotcha.

Have you considered Omaha 7 days a week? Alot of the regs love it.

Personally, I kind of think the O8 HiLo is detracting from table activity.

If it didn't exist we might have a more even spread of cash games going on.

I've got a feeling when they tried O8 tournies years ago there was a tech issue with it, but Genie is going to test it out and see if that is possible for a different weekend promo.

I understand that being your position on weekday Hi/Lo and I actually agree with you. Just us action junkies really love it, lol.

Sounds good on possible O8 tournies, could be fun but alright if not possible due to tech issues or whatever else. Appreciate you considering them.

Just won three tourneys in a row - sweet run! Perhaps some of you should pay more heed to my strategy of just going allin until doubling/tripling up or out - in this turbo format, it's not the worst!
