What are the best online poker rooms for US players these days?

I have been out of the online loop and am looking to get back into it. I am in Pa.

I like to play 1/2 and 2/4 full ring, multi tabling.

Someone mentioned Nitrogen awhile back but I don't see any traffic there.

    Thoughts?

Is online poker legal in PA now? If so I am sure you have some nice choices like stars, wsop, 888 etc. If not you could try betonline, bovada etc

If you can play at Pokerstars I'd play there. I can't play at Pokerstars for real money so I play at Bovada, BOL and Americas's Cardroom. I also occasionally play at Global poker where you play for Sweeps coins over there which is basically their real money games. It's a little confusing at first but its ok. Of all those places my favorite place to play is ACR but I think Bovada might be the softest because you get a lot of rec players over there.

I can play at Stars so I'll probably start there and maybe Bovada.

    Really appreciate your insight man.

I would search the bitcoin forum on here for tips about bitcoin. My bitcoin wallet is at Blockchain.info but I also use coinbase to transfer money to and from my bitcoin wallet at Blockchain even though Coinbase fees are pretty high. I'm sure someone from here can give you better tips about how to use bitcoin and what site to use for bitcoin.

What's up with Betonline? Their poker room seems decent to me but they hardly get mentioned on forums as a good option. I like playing in their tournaments. America went stupid after black Friday. So nice when Partypoker and PokerStars you would have 100k people online at a time.

PartyPoker brings back memories. Those were the days. First online spot I ever played. Before Black Friday fukked it all up.

Yeah the thing with Pokerstars Pa is it 's ONLY Pa players so pretty small player pool. I deposited there and am basically even after playing some 1/2 and lower. Mostly just the same people every night it seems, everyone grinding multiple tables.

Really appreciate the insights fellas, probably going to switch it up pretty soon here.

MAN do I miss the pre black friday poker days! I NEVER had to play lower than 1/2 back then looking for fish. This sucks!

This place is not for long. This place will be obsolete in a couple of years.

You just gotta remember, a website where the guy who threatens people with violence,

and slings out gay and racial slurs, while also whining about anyone who dares rebut him,

no such place could ever make it. Just out of sheer stupidity of allowing that, the place is imploding upon itself.

Go buy a ledger wallet directly from their website and use that as your BTC wallet. Blockchain.info is trash.

Stars does do no questions asked instant withdrawals which is impressive.

Brutal player pool. Funny guys some of them, but their game is ridiculous.

A sharp poster swears by ACR, might check it out after a break from getting destroyed at Stars.

The thing with "legal" sites (poker was never illegal just the transfer of money yada yada thanks Bill Frist and the GOP) is that the state sites have such a small player pool.

These days? Anything connected to a sportsbook. Bovada if you can, Intertops, Americans card room are some. There are a bunch of crypto sites as well.

I wish the states that are "legal" commited to an interstate compact, it would be 100X better.

As I said though, any site where drunk degens are betting and decide to hit the tables are always optimal.

NJ it's like fuggin rounders depending on the time of day. The real money in poker now ironically is back to real life. Dudes during the day at parx are just throwing money around. Old retired nits and drunk old/young guys with money. Some rounders during the night and weekends but most of the time it's just ABC.

Thechaoz certainly knows his poker. Parx is a great room.

Some of the old grinders are so damn miserable and they stick together like they think they're some kind of geriatric gang, especially if they realize you're a better player than them.

It gets pretty annoying sometimes. The Chester grinders are a particularly miserable bunch.

Rivers Philly gets pretty rowdy sometimes but free drinks for the fish can be a good time.

Another thing I don't get - a fish catches and some miserable grinder is all like "how could you play like that?"

You're so miserable that you forgot that the fish are the ones who pay you in the long run. You don't understand the value of repeat business from fish?

Fuk off, imo. Don't fuk w my action.

Jack Cleveland has the craziest Omaha games I've ever seen.

Rivers and Jack are my two favorite rooms.

the partypokernetwork pa seems pretty soft (borgata/mgm poker)

I played a satellite last night for the sunday main one. Play was really bad. Lots of min bets or check call. Then we got to 62 they started hand for hand (59 seats) guys were still playing every hand with around 10 or so stuck around 5 big blinds. I was on auto fold with an average stack. Some guy at my table got 60th (he did get the bubble money) but he was in every hand when he should have been on auto fold. Definitely was a top 10 stack when hand for hand started.

Sounds like a donkfest, that I like. Steamy bubble story though, sucks.

Funny you bring them up, they just out of nowhere threw me a $45 free ticket for a $215 $40k qualifier yesterday. A donk played like crap and rivered me.
Do you play ring there? Traffic looked light 1/2 and up at first glance.

Also they're pretty heavy on the email and facebook solitication, huh

I usually just play the tournaments. Pokerstars seems to dominate the ring game traffic for PA. That was the exact tournament I played Friday night. It seemed like about 1/3 of the players didnt even show up for my satellite, although maybe I was just lucky with the table draw. Yes they email the shit out of you.

This is the first time I'm playing in the big Sunday one on there, I will give an update of the play after it ends.
Looks good for starters. 250BB at the beginning. About 3 and half hours until the starting stack goes to roughly 10 BB. My strategy in the bigger tournaments is to try and 5x the starting stack. That should put me around a little below average when the bubble hits and at least give a shot to go deeper. Anything below 5x, I assume that I will be hanging on for dear life at some point before the payouts start. They do cut the registration at 2500/5000 bb, which is 15bb. That seems a little earlier than other tournaments like this one.

They have a big freeroll for 40k that starts right before it, which I'm sure is a shovefest but that's not a bad amount of money for a freebie.

ended up busting about 40 from the money

play didnt seem to be too great, a few ok players nothing more, never had over 160k (barely double the starting stack)

kept getting hands against the tight players and missing everything against the loose ones

did play the freeroll, lost a big race with ak v jj the small blind against the button, went out in like 300th got 25 tournament dollars, maybe had a decent shot at a run there if i won that hand

    Right.

Variance just sucks. When I was out in Cleveland I hit a run of 1/3 variance and lost like 5k in a month on mostly bad beats. Had a buddy that was crushing Omaha, when on tilt and tried that, and lost more. Still have nothing bad to say about that room. Awesome dealers/staff etc. I was vaping a good bit at the time and this one dealer just out of nowhere give me a bunch of good vapes for free, lol.

Then I decided screw poker and went into recruiting which is ok work - but not easy - and working on straight commish is just so, so tough.

Sounds like you're playing well and just running into a very nasty variance streak.
