    Global Poker

I joined about 2 weeks ago and the first week was great. I was getting a lot of hands and ended the week up $500.

Then everything went downhill. I tried adjusting my game about 10 times, in 10 different ways, but aside from a few good runs, it progressively got worse. Getting a lot of garbage and not hitting the flop.

I thought, well, I'll take a few days and come back fresh...always seemed to me that time away allows everything to reset. It helped a little in the beginning, but everything seemed to fall off faster than before.

So, what looked so promising, is basically toast...for now. I'll probably reload there in the near future. Just gotta back away and regroup.

Overall, it wasn't too bad. I'd probably say that it's fairer than the software or programs most sportsbooks offer.

Is this the tricky platform that calls itself a sweepstakes game but is really just a regualr poker room?

An Australian guy developed it and was sure he had the laws handled but think it lasted a month before it was banned Down Under.

Cant imagine it's really legal everywhere as they claim. Definitely not in Australia for one.

Yeah Opti, it's a workaround. I was confused about it in the beginning. You purchase "Gold Coins", and they give you cash as a "bonus". LOL

Their big draw is that you deposit and withdraw using Paypal...very easy.

Good luck finding anything about an RNG. At least with offshore books they have to provide RNG information.

Rake is insane on Global. They claim to be legal but that's simply an opinion and they are nearing the size that they will be on DOJ radar soon.

Using sweepstakes to get by works initially but they have all come crashing down at some point.

multiple threads on 2+2 on GP.....The last one I saw a player showed screen shot proof during a tourny of only getting 1 hole card and only 2 cards coming out on the flop during a tourny there. I would avoid at all cost

Yeah they also have Chumba Casino and are working on a sportsbook all using the sweepstakes approach. You can simply get free money to play on both sites if you feel like mailing out postcards to them because all sweepstakes must offer the chance to win with no purchase.

Any sweepstakes site that has started was shut down. I'm surprised they've been up and running so long. It's been maybe 8 months now. I wouldn't keep much money on there and there isn't a real need to anyways since paypal is quick and easy and I believe they cover the fee.

Started playing there 5 months ago. Making a killing. The payout like clockwork via pay pal.

I've heard some sketchy things about this site. I mean c'mon let's think logically here. Paypal won't associated themselves with any gambling entity...so why are they able to work with global poker. Well global operate a "sweepstakes" style poker game. If we look at that term it means everything is based on luck and no skill right? If global poker was anything like poker, paypal would not risk endorsing this tiny site just to make little money. It's got to be a complete 100% based luck site imo. Now there are ways to test out this method. I recommend you just open shove Any Two Cards preflop in a cash game. If the 100% luck is true, then you should win when people fold 90% of the time. When they do call you should be 50/50 with them to win the hand. If anybody is willing to do that please let me know, or else I'll have to do it myself sometime...
