    Dealer-less poker tables?

Dealer-less poker tables? Electronic alternative is faster — and you don’t need to tip

A Vancouver company has developed what could be a game-changer: poker tables with virtual cards — and lots of action. The tables can also be programmed to offer other electronic table games, horse or sports wagering to poker players who have folded for that particular hand.
“Picture players sitting at a table that’s basically one giant iPad,” says Jake Kalpakian, CEO of Jackpot Digital. “And it’s faster game play, which generates more money.” (Dealers don’t have to count out chips or shuffle cards, for example.) Jackpot Digital already has a contract with Carnival Cruise Line and will install the machines in U.S. poker rooms later this year, although none yet in South Florida.
Good Texas Hold ’em players fold as much as 90 percent of their starting hands, which makes for a lot of down time. Walk into any poker room and you’ll see players fiddling with their phones, snacking, or even reading a book. In any poker room at a site that offers horse racing, you’ll probably see some players studying the daily charts.

Played on a cruise ship about 6 years ago. Definitely different. It was weird peeking at your hole cards.

These things have been around for 10 years. Casinos love them because they crank out hands quickly, but they're fairly unpopular with players

At Hollywood Park they used to have them for the games they didn't want to spread with a live dealer. I played limit Omaha Hi Lo on these machines a few times. Crushed it since clowns usually have no concept of hand value. I don't think they have them anymore.

I have a 5 minutes casino with electronic table where is a big line up to play, nevertheless I choose to drive 2 hours to a live dealer casino since in my opinion is a different experience.
Young people who are formed in online poker love them, and I think is a generational point of view, but the game should be play with cards as the wsop oar any other important tournament.

I played on these at The Crown in Melbourne in 2008 at the Aussie Millions.

It's very easy to exploit the rigged algorithm vortex on these tables. I once called out the hole cards for all 8 tables in the room at the same time using my advanced data strategies.
