    Thats what should be next

A rake race....normal tournies yes with no other incentives....

but a rake race for cash games is obviously the way to go

It does sound like a good idea if it can be done. And doesn't sound tough to do to me.

anybody that has a tracking software does have access to their rakeback

for the site, clearly they have rake calculated....now maybe you guys rent the software so you do not have access...but if you can import tourney results I think you can import rake

Sorry i care about rakeback when i play for real money. I play at SBR 99% for contest to maybe someday get lucky and win final. Points i get rollover takes forever i cant complain got 1 or 2k$ that way out somehow anyway over the years. And even flipping 50 is long tedious stuff not to mention playing vs 2 shortstack nits and 2 big stack maniacs at same table and maniacs ofc have position on you.

How many would be interested in this? If we can get a dozen I might run one...wouldn't take too much effort to write some code to process HHs and attribute rakeback. I'd trust most on here not to cheat, especially with minimal prizes on the line, and there are some measures to detect it as well. Who's in?

How do you get the data to start with?

Wouldn't you have to be logged into every table all the time to grab it?

That's a possibility but not practical I think, software too buggy. I was planning on having players submit participants submit their HHs

    Oh ok that sounds easier.

I'll be in for that, just to participate, but can imagine BigO and a few others probably the only ones with much chance doing it this way.

If we could have a site wide leaderboard, of each table limit, I could see that encouraging more people to play ring games more.

Not much interest, what a shocker.

Who are the few you don't trust regarding cheating? Names please.

I don't disagree that would make it easier....but putting the idea in action is probably the best way to make the case to SBR and identify ways to improve it. If we can show them it's a good idea and they're on board, there's certainly more they can do with it. A dozen people is about the limit of what I'd expect, but it would be a good start.

Doesn't shock me either...as I've mentioned previously, most people (like you) aren't here to play poker against others in a game of skill like ring games; they're here to play casually and still win points thanks to the distorted payout structure. As for names of untrustworthy folks, confirmed stiffs (again like you) are the main ones who come to mind.
