Sin what's the point if Beer is just taking your money? We need to focus on the group winning dynamic here pal.

Alright men....had a little free time this morning and investigated room prices for Sunday thru Thur. I used Expedia and combined it with my flight (prices below have removed my flight costs). Here is a rundown of some of the prices.

    Strip Pricing

Bellagio $144 per day and $44 resort fee
Ven/Palazzo $135 per day and $44 resort fee
Aria/Caesars $110 per day and $44 resort fee
Mirage $88 per day and $40 resort fee
Paris $81 per day and $40 resort fee
TI $57 per day and $40 resort fee

    Downtown Pricing

Gold. Nug. $71 per day and $31 resort fee
Plaza $38 per day and $21 resort fee

Note: if you come in Monday (no Sunday pricing), you will get $5-10 cheaper depending on location.

My general observation is that Aria, Mirage and TI are all good values on the strip considering what they offer.

Also, if a lot of people are staying at the Crown, I may double dip and get a room there a night or two also. It's only $52 with resort fee starting Monday. That way if I get drunk down there I can just crash without having to pay to get back to my other room.

Palms usually offers rooms under 100 during wsop.... did that twice...... 69 one year (THAT price is right). 89 another......

plus, you might get to nail adriana malouf (nassouf, or whateverthefuk her name is)....... she owns 1 percent of the joint.....

when I was at the Palms for two weeks one June, I felt like she was f'n stalkin' me.......

everywhere I went once back at the Palms after playin' at the Rio she'd be there...... good thing i was mentally shot after 12-14 hours of poker each day, or my new marriage (at the time) might have hit a rocky patch.....

i've never stayed there, but from what i hear it's an average room and not a bad value for your money. best thing about it is it's location. you are pretty much in the middle of the strip. so you are near aria, bellagio, caesar's, etc.

i've gambled there a few times and the weekends usually bring a younger crowd (and a lot of good looking girls). obviously out of my age group, but not bad to look at. don't know what the weekday crowd is like.

You guys really need to look and see if you have enough points at Harrahs or MGM properties. You may get comped rooms and then you dont even have to pay resort fees with comped rooms, or at least I dont. You can always ask your casino host to waive the resort fees and they will do that

at first I thought you meant the porn star trim.....

gray pubes will be a dead giveaway as well....

but, like with bill cosby generally speaking, by the time they are seeing gray pubes, "it's too late".......

I was going to advise JJ to trim his shit down there as well, but said fukkit, nothin's going to help......

the song below comes to my mind everytime I see him ranting and raving like this:

    THIS SONG:

Using relevant women's body parts by analogy, JJ's dikk is comparable to these female counterparts:

Meanwhile, these puppies are the female equivalent to Donk's Tool:

using cars as an analogy, JJ's dikk:

    and, of course, Donk's Junk:

    TO SUM IT UP:

MY DIKK, LARGE LIKE THE CHARGERS, THE WHOLE TEAM,

JJ'S SHIT, LOOKS LIKE HE'S FOURTEEEN......

we should maybe try and earmark a particular tournament that a bunch of us can all play? We have awhile to figure it out and see which one has great value, there are lots of options available to us.

I'm sure we could squirrell away either a noonish megasatellite at the rio (if i recall, these were relatively low buyins around 235-265, and our over that night, around 10-11; the later starts (6-8 had the bigger buyin trny (535 or so)), but ran til f'n five in the moring.... at least that was the time I chopped a final table in one a few years back.....

so probably better to do a nooner......

That's what I was thinking. The Rio dailies have reasonable buyins with the opportunity to win 50kish for 1st.

I fly in about 11am Sunday. If a few are there that day maybe pick a restaurant we can meet up for dinner at that night.

I was thinking Monday and/or Tuesday we could organize a breakfast/brunch meetup at Rio before the daily tournies start so everyone can connect... and then just play it by ear from there.

I think it would be nice to get all the attendees at the same poker table for a couple hours.

It should be possible to rent a table and dealer in a poker room and have a private table to play a sit n go or cash game.

The Aria/Bellagio, and probably all the big rooms, won't be able to accommodate us as they have every table going during the WSOP.

Perhaps the Golden Nugget downtown would work....maybe the Mirage on the strip.

I can speak to the shift boss at any room you guys want and see what is possible.

All of you should check out www.bravopokerlive.com/venues/ and put the app on your phone.
You can filter results by State, but it is best to enter "89103" in the Zip Code box and "6" in the Search Radius box. Click the "Apply Filters" button and you'll have all the rooms in Vegas that might interest you, including the Golden Nugget.

You can see how many tables are going at each poker room...the game types being spread, blinds, how many on the waiting list, etc. When you click on a specific room you will need to log in using your Facebook, Yahoo, or any of several such sites. Once you are logged in and have clicked on the room you're interested in, you will see the phone number to call and put your name on the waiting list (you will stay on the list for an hour......never just walk in, that's -EV ). You can also click on the "tournaments" tab in each room and learn what tourneys they have... buyins, structure, etc.

Been kind of quiet here the last couple of days....hopefully people haven't lost interest.

As for me, my wife has talked me into taking her on a short Cruise for her birthday next week. So I won't be around most of the week. However when I get back, I'll be looking to book my reservation. Been holding off to see where everyone is staying.

I am waiting for my wife to get our booking done... Been a busy couple of weeks. Plus we are away next week as well.... As it stands I am going, just trying to get it solidified. I think we are 90% booking somewhere on the strip. I am personally leaning to TI because it is pretty nice, great location and very cheap. If I can get a better deal at a nice hotel like the Mandalay Bay, then we might go there as well.

Second the idea of a private game...how many people would be interested in this? Can keep the stakes small and make it more for bragging rights than anything...hell, if they allow it I might be open to commentating!

I'm down for pretty much whatever, but strip would probably fit best for most people for the vegas experience. Plus canadian tuxedos will blend in easier with bigger crowds on strip

I prefer the location of TI over Mandalay. You're near The Venetian/Palazzo, the Mirage and you have several lower $ casinos you can play at too.

Also it's easy to get to the Rio or downtown from there.

Keep me posted on what you do.
