yep that pokerroom rake(10% with the max of $15+$4 on pots over $500) was insane though!! they are making a freakin killing fukkin thieves lol...normally based on principle, no chance I play in that game but based on the circumstance(on vacation, might be only time to ever play live with many of the sbr guys etc etc), I obviously was not going to miss out!
Purely from a gambling perspective, you're probably better off trying your luck at the table games or the slots...that rake would be damn near impossible to beat long term...
I hate to bring up a salty memory for you but I'm guessing as time passes, the story alone might be worth it...I'll never forget that hand between you and tripe(Donk's AA vs Tripe's QQ for those that weren't there)...he runs good live too!!As it turns out, regardless of how you guys played it the money was going in but you had that hand set up so perfectly ....the previous hand you lost a portion of your stack then wake up with AA make a massive preflop raise to $200 and Tripe shoves allin for $500ish!! funny thing is I think all of us knew the Q was coming

If we ever encounter a situation of this kind, let`s bring a set of chips, cards, and we make a nice poker cash game among us in one of the rooms.No need for rake. what's the knock on westgate? it's ungodly cheap right now, 38/night and 61/night for the rooms they renovated in 2015

Reigle, I can't think of any knock on the Westgate. Great sportsbook. Huge set on screens.
Might just be based on availability. Possible that other hotels are more sought-out this time of year, b/c of poker.

Opti, let me know the details for Sunday/Monday:
* I'll have a car. Am willing to drive people around. To/from Downtown/Strip etc.
* A home poker-game sounds good to me for Sunday. I'd be in.
* If anyone is looking for a Sunday nite dinner place, Pal Stat Steakhouse is pretty good. Also, Rio has a good Viatnamese restaurant just outside the sportsbook.

btw....if anyone is wanting to do the big ferris wheel (hi roller at LINQ). be sure to check the groupon special. it's $94 for two with open bar (~30 min ride) at night and $70 during the day. groupon always has 20% off coupons so be sure to use that. it's not a great deal, but i'd recommend it for those who come as a couple (if you like good views).
