Stars and full tilt are without a doubt the two best. With full tilt you can get rakeback at low stakes, but stars has better support. Full Tilt with rakeback is usually the best option for the casual player.

I would say Full Tilt better for cashing out or just transfer money between players.. FT or Pokerstars...

    1) Pokerstars is considered the best site for tournaments but overall has the reputation as being the leader in the industry. They offer no rakeback but they rake less than the other sites overall. If you're a micro player this would probably be a good choice as they offer a ton of small buy in MTT's as well as have micro cash games at many forms of poker (NLH,LHE,HORSE,BADUGI,5CARDDraw etc.)

    2) FTP the rake is killer at micro limits so be sure to get the 27% rakeback as well as a kickback from one of the big bonus sites before signing up. They have rush poker which is a larf and you can rail high stakes games if you fancy that form of entertainment.

    3) Cake. Relatively new network, they have 33% rakeback and do not allow HUD's. This might be a good choice if you're a poker purist.

I like bodog. Mainly because I play in their freerolls. Other than that I'd say go with Tilt or stars

I don't mind the occasional freeroll but realize that you are forgoing many opportunities if you don't sign up for bonuses through affiliates at the same time.

This is impossible to answer without knowing exactly what you are looking for. Pokerstars and Fulltilt are certainly the two biggest and most trustworthy sites available to U.S. players. However, if you are a low volume player you will miss out on a lot of rewards/rakeback by playing at stars. If you are a midstakes cash regular then the competition at fulltilt and stars is much tougher than on other U.S. sites (such as cake and bodog). I have also found Bodog and cake to have the best customer service (fulltilt is notoriously bad). I'd just say get an account at a few of them and see what you like.

I know people are going to disagree, and they do have valid points considering the past scandal, but I play on absolute poker often. They have been good to me, they have a good rake back deal, and VIP/bonus program. Customer service is also very good. However, they do have a bad history that stems from a couple of incidents years ago.

I don't believe that you can sign up with your own personal credit card. I have tried in the past with my debit to sign up @ pokerstars and fulltilt and neither one of them accepted it. The only card that I have found that works is the All Access **** Gift Card. Does anyone else know of any other cards that work on these sites?

I feel that Pokerstars is the best. It's easy to navigate and you can always find a tournament or ring game at any money level.
