Since my other thread didn't go over too well a couple weeks ago.. How about a wish list of things people would like to see. Let's keep it realistic and keep bickering and bitching out. This thread is a lot more likely to get ignored if people are making outlandish suggestions or it turns into a Donk/Booby fighting thread.
Anyway, here are a few things I'd like to see:
- The moderator more active in the poker community/forum. I'd really like if the mod was attentive to issues, didn't ignore everyone until they had to bitch and moan for 2 weeks straight to get an answer. I feel like it isn't too much to ask.
- 10 am EST tournament returning. I would never be available to play it, but I know a lot of people want it. Right now the earliest is 3 and that usually fills to a much higher level than the other 3. There appears to be a need for an earlier tournament. I'd also be open to a late tournament instead, something like 2 or 3 AM EST. That should allow other time zones to play and would give me, and others who are up late, something to do when there's nothing else going on.
- The return of Sit n Go's. I know they weren't popular but why remove them? If there is a way to allow rollover points for SNG's then even better. Maybe separate SNG's. One for betpoints, and one for rollover points. The winners of the rollover points SNG's then have to rollover those as well. Not ideal, but maybe would get some more activity.
- Omaha tables all week. Why only limit them to the weekend? They're much more popular than Hold Em tables seem to be, again could help with traffic. While we're at it, why not add some limit Stud tables too. Since the software seems eerily similar to the old Bodog software, I'm sure it can run 7-card Stud and 7-card Stud Hi/Lo. Could also go with adding Razz, but I wouldn't be heartbroken if it was left off.
- New promotions: Ditch the World Cup and allow the top 60 players to be added to a pool then have a draft for 5 teams, with the top 5 players being captains. This would be much more exciting and would prevent US players who would normally fall in the top 40 from being excluded because of their location. The WC has been done a lot, time to do something new. Even the NFL and (I think) NHL have realized that location/division restrictions aren't the best idea and moved to this format.
- Quicker promotions: Instead of running 3-4 month promotions that just seem to drag on and on, why not run the above promotion over the course of 3 months, have a couple month long promotions, then move to another 3 monther, and so on. When you have long promotions constantly you either end up with people losing interest because they're too far out or, in the instance with the current promotion, half the field all ready has enough points to qualify so it makes the remaining 6 weeks moot.
- Daily Entry Fee tournaments: Maybe an entry fee tournament or two that runs daily. It doesn't count toward the annual leaderboard or any promotion, but just for people to play for points. Poker is dead all day until tournaments run, then the tables fill a bit. The only time I see poker active, without tournaments running, is when Omaha is going.
Anything else?
