Not to disagree with you Brad, it's just I think online poker has its own quirks and you must work them out if you expect to become/remain profitable. It's like racing on a bike through a forest. A completely different game from racing on the perfectly paved roads of Gira de Italia.

I realize most people probably 'whine' just because they can, and it's a free forum so say what you will. But it can get a little amusing at times.

It's pretty entertaining, it's not AS bad in the turbo 40 person tournaments (still laughable) but they do the same thing in the slower blind/higher stack tournaments as well. That's why I prefer slower blind tournaments, can actually play poker instead of needing to catch a hand.

There are worse plays than pushing with AA, like pushing with 7,2 off for example. To push/raise, or slow play, depends on multiple factors. Mainly my position during the hand & opponents playing style, not how long a tourney has been running.

Grivas now this really hurts. Its not a secret that I pretty much play only QQ or above but what really hurts worse is that even with everyone knowing it people are still shoving back with 46o, j9, q7, 28 etc etc I get no respect

You're better off not trying to have poker discussions with bobbo; he's barely able to play cards let alone poker, and has shown an inability to grasp that there are times where shoving with hands like 72o is the only intelligent option. Take it form someone who spent a good part of the last couple years trying to make him understand he's wrong: he's simply not capable of accepting any facts that disprove his opinions...to his detriment at a poker table, and the reason why he avoids sitting at cash tables and hemorrhaging chips with terrible play

People never complain when they're the ones hitting the flop or turn or river. They only complain when they get the bad beat. I've played poker a long time here in NYC, in a lot of under ground games, I've had my share of bad beats and I've had my share of suck outs, but I never complain. Its Poker, shit happens. I've never posted anything negative about anyone on this site. I've never complained about a bad beat. I get beat I say good luck fellas and I wait for the next tourney. Right now I'm 7th or 8th in the standings. I'll make it easy for you, I will not play another game of Poker here. I will stick with the horse forum.

Sanity on the poker forum is easier to maintain with browser substitution plugins; install one, set it to replace "rigged" with more suitable text, so something like "omgz online poker is rigged" becomes "omgz online poker is a skill based game beyond my comprehension, so like numerous others before me, I choose to believe it's a giant conspiracy instead of believing that I'm simply not as aware as I believe". Set up about a half dozen of these substitutions, and it makes the forum a lot more entertaining
