They could easily win in this short series event. Your playing four handed and too many factors to really have an accurate read. My posts was definitely not meant as a shot at the players on team world but rather the ease of which you can make that team. Play a tourney or 2 a week and if your decent your locked in. US team has to play basically every day and run good to have a shot.

Its done now but hopefully at least gets some thought for next year.

Team USA is very strong and with a lot mote chances since there will 12 spots to make the points unlike the other years.

I guess maybe they haven't been playing since they know they don't need to play to secure a spot, but the six lowest 'cashes' are all from team world.

So I'm skeptical but we shall see.

That doesn't really solve it. Say we are three handed, and I'm playing vs. one team-mate and one non team-mate. If I have an enormous stack while the other two are crippled, it would be in my interest to fold to my team-mate (if he moves allin, or he's in the big blind) while pounding on the other guy in order to try to move my team-mate up to second before trying to win the thing.

That's just one example, but all sorts of things of that nature could occur - just seems like a bad idea to me to have such a format.

Of course I could give 100 suggestions as to what I think would be a good format (something that would either reward the US Players for having to work way harder than others to make their respective team or would simply make it more equitable in terms of making teams to begin with), but I don't see it happening. Just hope that SBR will finally fix this next year or do more formats like the Triathlon which I think the vast majority felt was more fair (no person had any inherent advantage over another!)

well then we get the 13th-17th the top players of team US. or team world top 6 play multiple slots. either course will come under fire but thats just how it is. and team world hasnt finished last since this thing started. as stated in a short series of 4 handed tourney anything can happen. i suspect the bottom 6 of team world dont play often cuz they just did enough. but that needs to be confirmed. i only play cuz i still got a couple of loans. otherwise i wouldve stopped at 2500. even then i missed at least 20 tourneys between april and august. if sbr lets our top 6 play multiple slots ill bet with you team world wont come in last place. we placed second the first year this was run , third last year (missed second place by a point).

if you schedule it properly you won't be playing against any of yur team mates. but gonna be tough to keep 12 people happy with a time slot.

As if they are going to do any of that.

If a player doesn't turn up the team just loses the slot place.

Thats how it worked last year.
