**are % splits/deals allowed for the poker championship?

    or is this considered collusion

i would be more than happy swapping 20% chunks of my action with 2 other players, then i'd have 60% of my own action and 20% of each of theirs...

i wouldn't say thats collusion because your still trying to beat them as you benefit more if you win then if they do. I have seen this often in live game.

Well if it is announced on the forum or during the tournament IN ANY FASHION, then it would be collusion I think. But as long as it is only discussed via PM or email I dont think that there is a problem.

I mean the last thing that we need is people chatting on the final table that are not even in the tournament. People would be saying things like I have 20% stake in Mike and they might be giving advice on how to play against others during chat

sadly this kind of stuff happens in almost every major poker tournament, that's why i asked. for the $1 million tourney that esfandiari won, i think he only had 5% of his own action

I think that he had 17% of himself.

But he had the cash to pay the $1 million entry fee even before the tournament. But alot of guys actually WANTED to back him

ok let's be generous and say esfandiari had 17% of his own action.

that means he walked away from $15 MILLION DOLLARS
