Two things bug the shit out of me game

#1 short stack players

I think it is bullshit that they allow some one to buy in for 20 BB's. These clowns ruin the game and if their are more than 2 game really sucks. Do you really want to call a raise from one of these idiots with small pocket pair or suited connector? One of these idiots really fuked me last night put me on tilt and got warned about swearing at the table.

I have ATo and the Chinese chick next to me raises to 20, I know for sure she has big pocket pair because she always raises big with those hands. I have a "A" so it not likely pocket AA. One guy calls gets around to short stack guy and I didn't see him in the number 9 seat and throw in the 20 for the call. The short stack prick decides to go all in for 40 opening the raising back up for the Chinese chick so I have to fold my ATo and just forfeit $22 because I didn't pull back the $2 so got fuked for two extra. Of course Chinese chick calls and has pocket KK.

Flop comes with not one, not two but three aces. I would have double up for sure but short stack prick fuks me over.



#2 being able to button straddle for 3x BB

This also ruins the fuking game because it makes the game play way to big when the most you can buy in for is 200. If three plus people limp in to see a flop the button 75% of time jacks it up to $40. I basically fold everything and always limp with big hands.

Last night never got any big hands and went broke twice when I jammed with pocket 88 against button pocket 99. And jammed with AQ against button AK aginst his stupid ass raises. Unreal how they always seem to have hands when I have one.



I complain to the poker room manager about this and he could give two fuks and tells me if I don't like the game I don't have to play in it. So I tell him I am done with this BS and will only play at Canterbury from now on.

75 percent of my poker games are in tourneys or sit and go's.

Hmm wonder if the guy you were following the other day gets upset about people following him?

I actually usually only buy in for 60 on 1-2 where the limit is from 60-200. I can control my bets more. I like the idea if I have ak like you did the other day and someone hits me out with k10 then I only lose 60 and not my whole roll. The thing is you should like having these players at your table. I know when I have 300-400, I love going up against someone with only 60-70 bucks. I am not risking that much. You know they are going push if they have to and if you wait for your spots you can pick them off. The straddle thing I hate. I hate straddling, its one of the worst plays in poker I feel.

People who straddle utg or straddle for more than the minimum straddle are just pissing money away

That said I try and and just keep in mind the short stacks in play and their tendencies. I don't think it is a huge deal except when other larger stacks do not care/pay attention to short stacks. Like you said, you made a mistake and missed the seat 9 short stack, no big deal, just try and avoid that in future.

I remember what someone told me once, "Live Straddles are done by people with dead brains....". A straddle on the button is kinda different though, depending on table I can see a lot of positive EV situations. If it is already a loose table, there is little benefit.
