2ND Place in High Roller Poker Tournament Today!....

Today, at 5:00pm, i entered a poker room filled with many many hopefull Poker players who were thirsty for the big prize. In only my second week playing poker, and despite losing internet connection throughout the tournament, I managed to represent Seaweed Nation and all my loyal Seaweeders on the big stage and finish in 2nd place! Beating all odds, I managed to do what no other SBR poker player has managed to do in such a short time-period. My 3 cashes in a row i mainly attributed to not only my countless hours studying the game every day, and watching video footage, but also to The Giant, who has tutored me the basics and has instilled the confidence i need to become a professional. This is a good time to be part of Seaweed Nation. Not only due to our Poker successes, but also due to the fact that Seaweed Nation has hit our last 4 NBA plays, with an 80 percent winning record on the year. Thank you to all, and congraulations to the winner BIG.

There isn't a rollover for making the top ten in that tournament.

Close down SBR poker and wait for about 5 minutes. If you don't see the points on your SBR account, then get ahold of Lou or another Mod.

Good for you, Seaweed, but just a little advice: When you say something like "In only my second week playing poker" and there are resources readily available to disprove that, you're going to end up giving yourself, as well as the world famous "Seaweed Nation", a bad rap.

Gummo77, really? I promise i have only been playing for a few weeks. Maybe it has been a little more than 2, not sure. But my point was i am a beginner compared to those who have much more experience throughout their lifetime on the green velt. Doesn't mean i don't study the game daily, but it would be ignorant for me to claim i expected to finish 2nd. I look forward to seeing you at the next tournament.

Not sure if i understand how to become a pro through my pinnacle sportsbook. Will it take money out of my pinnacle account, or will it withdraw 200 dollars out of my bank to put into my pinnacle account? Somebody, please explain this to me. Thanks.

You started playing 8 days after joining, bud. I have no idea if you played poker before that or not, doesn't matter.

Anyway, good luck with the upcoming tournaments, but lets just try keep your personal back-patting threads based more on reality.

To be honest, i don't remember playing that day. Maybe it was more of a trial and error. I've only played poker 5 times, and all here on SBR. I just started playing the other 4 times the past week and a half. Thanks for the correction, though. My apologies.

The points i won from today were transferred over to my SBR account. But i wonder why i can't play rollover to get more points? I know i played in rollover early this morning from the tournament, but not sure why i cant play again?

Gummo, now when i thought about it i do remember that Poker play. I was told to check it out my first week here on SBR. I went all in on my first hand and lost. I just did it to check it out. My total time in that tournament last 45 seconds

The points you won today aren't rollover because everyone had to buy-in ... including pros. The normal weekday tournaments are all rollover points, so until you become a pro you'll be able to play ring games with the points you won by placing in those specific tournaments.

For you other question, just message Lou or Shari. It doesn't cost $200 to be a pro; you just have to have that amount of money in a certain sportsbook. They just changed how to become a "pro" so it's best to ask a mod all the questions you have, so you get the proper answers.

You might want to slow down and check your ego bro. Playing for real money especially online is a real grind and most pros out there will eat you alive. Since you've only been playing for a short while, I would advise you to turn pro here and really "learn" this game, before investing real cash anywhere. You obviously haven't suffered the wrath of famous sbr bad beat runs, buy they will come.

Not trying to burst your bubble and congrats on your 2nd place finish. But nobody remembers 2nd place. All it means is you finished behind the winner. I've finished 2nd in the past couple of days in the regular tourneys and those badges don't mean shit to me, except to remind me I didn't win.

I actually agree 100% with what Mikejamm is saying here, Seaweed. You should focus on becoming an SBR Pro before moving to real cash games. You need to hone your skills. Your bet sizing is horrific and you still lack some fundamentals that are a necessity. The more hands you see, the better you will become. SBR has a nice arena for you to learn the game at no cost.

Our ultimate dream is to one day share a town-condo garnered through the money Seaweed makes profiting from these SBR tournaments.

Gummo, I have a question myself about becoming an SBR Pro. I signed up for that Sportsinsights, and do I have to become a paying member in order to become a pro, or is signing up enough? I'm a little confused. And if I have to pay them to join, does it matter which option I choose?

Congrats on your success, but you might want to tone it down. There are a lot of people on here that have played for a while, and hearing your self-testimonials could make you some enemies real quick, especially the ones on losing streaks.
