#38Anyone that plays live regularly knows that random card generator in SBR is total BS. Never, ever do you see so many multiple sets and made hands in tournament showdowns as you would during a "live" game. It totally skewers your strategy while playing online, hence you see so many people going all-in so early in tournaments. If you have two suited cards and you have a flop where two more of the same suit fall, then the chances of making that hand on SBR is easily over 50%. Not that a flush is much good with all the sets that are being made, you're bound to have that boat beat you half the time!
Look I'm not complaining, I'm just saying that if you think SBR poker is as random as a live shuffled hand then you are kidding yourself! As with any good player you adjust to the people and circumstances around you.
I'm probably on of the few people on here with any WSOP cashes and experience. I cashed in 3 Consecutive WSOP tourneys in 2013. My stats are below. They are not mind blowing stats, but I would be shocked if anyone else here has any WSOP cashes. My point is that the ONLY, I repeat, the ONLY FAIR WAY to determine a winner worthy enough to represent SBR and give you all the best chance of actually WINNING A LIVE TOURNEY is to get THE TOP 50 QUALIFIERS at the end and set a place and time for A REAL LIVE 50 MAN TOURNEY. Whoever wins 1st place in the LIVE 50 MAN TOURNEY will be deserving of playing the Main Event in Las Vegas (WHICH IS A LIVE TOURNEY). This is why it should take a LIVE TOURNEY to determine the REAL WINNER, NOT AN ARTIFICIAL WINNER. An artificial winner will get EATEN ALIVE in the MAIN EVENT (WHICH IS A LIVE TOURNEY). It only takes 5 tables to run a LIVE 50 MAN TOURNEY obviously, so this should not be hard to make it happen.

#39One of the highlights of playing a LIVE WSOP TOURNEY is that Allen Kessler and I sat next to each other for 3 hours on the same table. This guy is a Top Notch Pro and he has won Millions playing poker. He told me he was impressed by the tough laydowns I was making and my reading abilities and plays I was making on other people on the table. You can't get that shit on online poker. You have to get that face to face interaction and be able to READ A MAN and know if he is bluffing or telling the truth. I came in 12th in this tourney and Allen Kessler came in 11th place. We were a couple of people away from a cool $24,000 and a WSOP Ring. But, my point is that the winner of the Grand prize to play in the Main Event should be determined by a 50 MAN LIVE TOURNEY of the TOP 50 QUALIFIERS, NOT no online crapfest with a predetermined winner.

#41Here we go boys and girls. A $565 buyin for a WSOP tourney; with a $5,000,000 Prize Pool. You can't beat that. Any poker player worth their chops could get in this tournament. I'd be willing to share 10% of myself with people who I think their game translates very well in Live Poker like BitemeUSADOJ and AutoDonk and a few others up to 50% (share with 5 people Max at 10% each). Inbox me Auto and Biteme if any of y'all are interested. If not, it's cool either way. GL to all of you.

#43LOL are you really bragging about playing with the chainsaw? Anyone who's played more than a few tournaments has played with Kessler, he plays every random one in the country. And in what universe is he a top notch pro? He's famous for playing unbelievably tight and min cashing events not his great play.Comment -

#46Apparently, Reading comprehension and English are not your strong suit. The WSOP Circuit is part of the World Series Of Poker. Either way, if you read post #38, which you probably can't read, I said in there that my small cashes weren't mind blowing. I only played in 5 tourneys and cashed 4 of them. I also played with T.J. Cloutier there and numerous other Top Pros from Texas, I was just listing Allen Kessler as one of the people I talked with. But, who I did or did not play with was not my point to this whole thread. Anyways, for how easily you discredit the chainsaw; I'm quite positive his cashes far outweigh what you have ever done in the poker world, which I think is absolutely nothing. I just see talking from you and that's it. Anyways, you kids have fun here arguing. #49Richard Rios from Houston,
Everyone knows the WSOP is in Vegas during the summer. Congratulations for cashing a couple events in Lousiana but you still don't have any "wsop cashes". How about you stop burying yourself and pay your debts you fukin stiff.
Signed,
The guy who knows what a WSOP cash is.
P.S. I'll give you credit for having some balls on you posting your legal name and hometown in a forum where you seem to be a pos deadbeat. I doubt TDB would hunt you down for 2k points but who knows about whoever else you've stiffed.Comment -

No desire to hunt a guy down for points...I think having to live with the knowledge of what he did is probably a decent punishment for doing it. Tough to think you're a big shot when you have to hustle for pizzaComment -

#51do cashes in wsop deepstack events that run daily throughout the wsop between June/July count as "wsop cashes"?
if so, I have a bundle of those; cashed in just over a third of those dailys during the three weeks of my life that summer during which I actually pretended to be a pro....
as for name droppin, I pretty much played with everyone but helmuth, negranue, and ivey (this was still during his boycott--tho a few years earlier at the wsop he was absolutely smitten with my wife when she rolled into the amazon room).... shared tables with moon, russo, mizeraki's lil bro, duhamel, hilm, duke, several euro hotshots -- one with his own camera crew who got to film me felting his ass with a5 vs. his 44, after an ak5 flop and a very mistimed bluff on his part), as well as a bunch of other one time wonders who've run deep in a main or two -- never felt outgunned at all; it was a mentally draining grind day after day, but a great experience......
one big hi light of my wsop experiences was a few years earlier, after i'd won a trip to vegas playin online poker at the old espn site; and took it during the wsop, I bought into a $425 daily with about 200 or so players, and as we broke to the final table at about 2 am, negranue -- who apparently had just broke for the night in some bracelet event he was running deep in -- came strollin in to the room we were playing in, apparently to see if someone he knew was still in my trny, and he stood there behind the velvet rope watching our final table a bit while bullshittin with somebody, and saw me felt some well known pro from new york to become the chip leader, and a few mins therafter destroy two more players just before our break......... as we took the break, I could see him out of the corner of my eye -- I had the rayban aviators and thus was paying attn to him tho he didn't know it -- pointing to me as some other dude he knew came up to him and was asking who the big chip stack was, and saying something about "that guy in the flowery shirt [me] is absolutely crushin' it" ......... after we chopped with about six left, two pros watchin one of their Czech professional buddies that was second in chips to me said, "why chop, you were gonna own that table...." ...... that kind of shit pumps you up! And is why I will be back this june for at least one bracelet event and some of the larger dailies.........
maybe I need to take photos and post my buy-in receipts of the bracelet events I bought into...... but for kk losing to qq with a q on the turn, I run deep as hell in one bracelet event, instead of merely bubbling it two from the money..........
for the record, I think many players who play on this site would have just as good a chance as the "pros" to run deep...........Last edited by Auto Donk; 02-24-15, 09:12 AM.Comment -

#52You're getting closer Donker but I wouldn't call those wsop cashes either. If you're not playing for a bracelet against the toughest fields in the world it's just another tourney. Those smaller buyins during the series are no joke either cause of the big fields and relative skill but it's still not the best in Vegas playing those games.
Ive never had a pro compliment my play, but I did have Layne Flack call me a lucky tourist when I called him down with a few light ass hands in an awesome 3-6nl game at the B back in the day. He thought he would run me over and couldn't, got so tilted he started turning red when I kept calling him lol. Good memories.Comment -

#53lot of pros were jumping in daily deepstacks after busting out of whatever they were in or if they weren't in a trny that particular day; for eg, my play with moon was in the noon trny, played with him for six hours that day.
Had numerous pros compliment my play in bracelet events, particularly the one i bubbled at 2 a.m. in the morning; three sep guys, including the suckout bandit and little mzraki, all gave compliments, of which i could have given a fck about at the time I was so on fire.....
after being there two weeks, alot of people start to recognize you and your play; couple times guys whod played with me for a day or so in an earlier trny would tip their buds off with shit like "he's solid," don't bluff that dude, shit like that..... again, just a very cool environment to play in.....
I can't remember her name, but she's a middle aged asian woman who dresses really loud, doesn't speak english too well, fairly well-known by a lot people there, kept trying to bluff me the first time i played with her; when i felted her a day or two later in a different trny, she went off; then when i got moved to her table later in the week, she yells out, "OH NO, NOT U AGAIN!" for her to react like that made others all around take notice; some of the regulars start to acknowledge you and shit, it's fun no doubt......... damn good memories indeed.... hoping to make more this summerComment -

#55In my opinion, the pay format is fine, however, the turbo style takes away from the skill and, press the player for a quick decision.
Giving a 12 minutes blind level would take , maybe!! 3 hours to do a tournament, but probably eliminate the all in or fold style.
My final thought; i would have prefer 25 players to make the cut not 50, this way SBR will be better represented.Last edited by sinmiedo; 02-25-15, 03:32 PM.Comment -

#59Yup yup...25 players making the cut would have definitely been more competitive, instead of basically having 40% of people headed to a "final" that's gonna be a shovefest if they don't slow it way down. If SBR wants best chance of getting someone with shot to go deep and get em recognition, seems like they'd wanna make the qualifying and winning process more skill-based...weird stuffComment -
