There's 68 Bracelet events at the WSOP, with most of them averaging a $1000 to $1500 buy in. SBR could have given 5 or even 10 different SBR Pros an entry in any one of those events, verses the ridiculous pipe dream of even finishing in the money at the main event.

They could have spread the SBR logo around the entire time the WSOP events are taking place and given a bunch of us a much better chance to win a side event, with the option to take those winnings and go on to enter the main event.

Why not send a fuk'in team of SBR pros verses one guy? You could still have your bullshit 20% cut, get tons of free advertising and increase the overall chances that somebody will run good and and score a win.

This new format is a complete joke, doesn't address anything about fuk'in "skill", just more players, crammed into fewer tourneys, less pay outs, the same starting stack, and the same shitty bad beat software.

Something to think about at the next SBR meeting of the minds round table discussion of how to increase excitement and bring back SBR poker from the depths of shit hole despair.

Doug, I will disagree with your statement. This format would reward skill versus luck, only if you rewarded 1st place with the direct seat into the main WSOP tourney.

However even though Jake or someone else might run away with the daily tourney's with 6000 pts difference, in the end he will sit in a tourney with 50 players, with the same chance to win, even with #50.

And what happens if no.49 with less than 1000pts. total wins the final, (which probably be a super turbo all-in shove and pray festival). It definitely will not have skill rewarded.

I think there is still some significant luck involved in the SBR tourney format (I cannot seem to avoid the landmines and get hands to hit/hold up) but it is impossible (and stupid) to argue with Jake's continued success year after year.
