Poker Legends Brunson, Chan and Slim were the Stars of the Show at The Legends of Poker Exhibition at Jack Gallery, Mandalay Bay – Las Vegas

“I love this stuff…there’s something for everybody here.”

Johnny Chan Two Time WSOP Champion.

Friday June 2, 2006 was the debut exhibition of poker artwork at the Jack Gallery inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas entitled “The Legends of Poker”. The show was a huge success with many high rolling professionals in attendance. Mingling with the crowd were World Series of Poker champions and Poker Hall of Fame members Doyle “Texas Dolly” Brunson, Thomas “Amarillo Slim” Preston, Johnny “The Orient Express” Chan, and Madeline and Stefanie Ungar representing Stu “The Kid” Ungar. Each of these poker greats graciously signed autographs and had photographs taken with their fans.

This historic event was a debut for artists featuring their poker artwork. The artists represented were Mike Blatt, Larry Grossman, William R. Hannapple, Harry McCormick, Rafal Olbinski, Matt Rinard, and Waldemar Swierzy. This collection of poker related artwork will enjoy an extended exhibition through the end of June at the Jack Gallery at Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

In July, the High Stakes Art collection will be presented at the 2006 Gaming Life Expo located at the Rio Hotel & Casino in conjunction with the 35th annual World Series of Poker championship (WSOP) event. This year the expectations for the WSOP is that the number of players will greatly exceed last year’s turnout – which set a record.

The High Stakes Art Collection will be centrally located at booth number 422 which is in the Rio Pavilion Ballroom that is adjacent to the World Series of Poker gaming arena. The Expo is free and open to the public starting on July 27th – July 30th at 11am – 8:30pm. The last day of the event will be Monday July 31st with the show being open between 11am – 4pm.
