But I have to admit I have gotten luckt quiet a few times too.
Last night I am playing 8 16 which is a little higher than I usually play as I am usually 4 8 or 5 10. So last night I am at an 8 16 table and its kill pot so its 16 32. I have hole cards Q clubs Ace Spades.
I drop on a 16 32 kill pot unless I have a damn good hand, and while this may not be a damn good hand, its pretty good so I put the 16 in just to see the flop and we get 6 callers which is a lot for a 16 32 kill.
So Immediately I know Im fked as with 6 callers that means everyone is holding big cards, likely my aces are all in other hands. But my 16 is in, so the flop comes
3 spades
Now I am stuck as I have the ace of spades and already $100 in the pot. First action bets 16, I call, 3 players fold, last action raises to 32, first action raise to 48, last action caps it at 64. I am just calling everything telling myself to get the fuk out but I dont listen.
Its obvious at least 1 has the flush and they are both betting like they have it.
Turn comes
SPADE
I am fking golden right now. Didnt even have to sweat it to the river. They both let out a collective **** when the turn comes SPADE. I am trying to play it cool like I am thinking about dropping. I am usually never very good about it, so I think they knew. First action though bets 32, I hesitate just a little and call, last action calls. Then comes river, it doesnt pair the board, so I actually have the ******* nuts right now.
First action I couldnt believe it she bets 32, I call last action raises ( Im thinking WTF ???????????????????? ), first action calls, I raise to 96. My first raise or bet the whole hand.
LOL. They both look at me like they hate me worse than you SBR guys do. they both call.
I have the Ace high flush, first action had Q high flush, last action king high flush.
Not the best story ever but for a small timer like me, a pot with over $500 is pretty nice.
Any other good hold em hands anyone want to re-live ?
