WHAT is YOUR BEST EVER HOLD EM " GOOD WIN "

I know we all ( or at least I do ) dwell on our bad beats, like the hands where the guy chases you to the river with a gutshot straight draw and catches it to beat your trip aces.

But I have to admit I have gotten luckt quiet a few times too.

Last night I am playing 8 16 which is a little higher than I usually play as I am usually 4 8 or 5 10. So last night I am at an 8 16 table and its kill pot so its 16 32. I have hole cards Q clubs Ace Spades.

I drop on a 16 32 kill pot unless I have a damn good hand, and while this may not be a damn good hand, its pretty good so I put the 16 in just to see the flop and we get 6 callers which is a lot for a 16 32 kill.

So Immediately I know Im fked as with 6 callers that means everyone is holding big cards, likely my aces are all in other hands. But my 16 is in, so the flop comes

    3 spades

Now I am stuck as I have the ace of spades and already $100 in the pot. First action bets 16, I call, 3 players fold, last action raises to 32, first action raise to 48, last action caps it at 64. I am just calling everything telling myself to get the fuk out but I dont listen.

Its obvious at least 1 has the flush and they are both betting like they have it.

    Turn comes

    SPADE

I am fking golden right now. Didnt even have to sweat it to the river. They both let out a collective **** when the turn comes SPADE. I am trying to play it cool like I am thinking about dropping. I am usually never very good about it, so I think they knew. First action though bets 32, I hesitate just a little and call, last action calls. Then comes river, it doesnt pair the board, so I actually have the ******* nuts right now.

First action I couldnt believe it she bets 32, I call last action raises ( Im thinking WTF ???????????????????? ), first action calls, I raise to 96. My first raise or bet the whole hand.

LOL. They both look at me like they hate me worse than you SBR guys do. they both call.

I have the Ace high flush, first action had Q high flush, last action king high flush.

Not the best story ever but for a small timer like me, a pot with over $500 is pretty nice.

Any other good hold em hands anyone want to re-live ?

bad beat jackpot 60K, minus taxes and tips. Because in my mind any jackpot you get is a good win. been in a few gotten boths sides of a few as wel, but that was by far the biggest one and was like 15 minutes before the timer went down that would have put it back at 50K pot(30K for loser).

I can't remember any one hand in particular as I have seen every possible 1 outer, etc...I've played hundreds of thousands of hands if not a million but I can remember one big night where pretty much everything went my way....

I was playing bodog 1/2 blinds No Limit Hold Em'....

I sat down with $200 and left at the end of the night with a stack of around $1200

Everyone was like wow nice stack lol

    I only remember bad beats.

Winning a 3000 + field tourney back to back days is always a "good win" for me.

bought in for the max at 1/2 which is 300 here. Ran on a sick heater and chipped up to around 1100. All of a sudden people are moving tables and they're all really deep so I waited around to see how the table would play and eventually after 30 mins I look down at aces and raise to 12, guy on the button with about 550 behind re pops it to 36. folds to me and I re-pop it back to 76. He hesitates for 5 seconds and raises it to 195. I take my time counting my chips hollywoodying it and then finally decide to shove and he insta-calls me so I'm thinking he must have kings. Turns out he had pocket 7s.....luckily my aces hold and then grinded out the next couple hours not winning many pots but left with around 1500ish, best 1/2 sesh ever.

the 1/2 NL at the joint up the street is a 100 max buy in, but the action is unreal. If you can sit and build a stack you can make a nice score at that table. It runs basically non stop. Also a nice 5/10 500 min no max NL game that usually starts around 10 Am. Guys usually buy in for 5K, but it is mostly the same 5-7 guys so after awhile you just start swapping money around. So the 1/2 game is a little better for fresh money. but if you sit in it for 15-20 hours and have even average action and average luck you can hover around 1500-2000 pretty easily. Hard part is starting out when there are a couple deep stacks. You basically have to hit your one all in or rebuy. because they push you around, just like you push them around when youre deep(relatively). But a lot of guys go on tilt so you can sometimes double up twice if you put a nice beat on them.

The times where you bluff people off trips or other good hands are nice. Can't think of any in particular though.

won a 12 person $200 buy-in WINNER TAKE ALL home game. $2400 and down. felt kinda bad for the guy i beat headsup. he had me outchipped about 3-1 to begin headsup but i stole a few decent pots and bluffed a big one to take a commanding lead before finishing him off

My favourite hand happenned in Dec. 2010 (a week before Christmas).
    1/2NL - Full 10 handed table.

Friend is in the 3 seat and I am in the 8 seat.

I had been running cold as ice and was down to about $70-$80 (last buyin for the night)....

I had position, I think my friend was one or two away from the BB. (can't fully remember this now..:-)

I had AQ(os), it was limped to me(two limpers, my friend and another guy to my right), I raised it to about $8.

BB calls and my friend also calls.

    A A 3 (rainbow) flops.

Checked to me, I bet approx. $15 with trip aces.

    BB folds, my friend calls.

    Turn 10.

    Friend checks, I check....

    Pot is around $50ish.

    River is a Q.... (BINGO!!!).

Friend bets, ~$20, I push, he calls.....

    He had A 10.... Aces over 10s.

    I had Aces over Qs.

The fact that I beat (cold decked..) my friend was not the coolest part...

The Casino (Casino Niagara) just started a bad beat jackpot recently (I think that day), the jackpot was approx. $6k.

The Jackpot is split as a lot of bad beat jackpots are, 50% to the bad beatee (my friend), 25% to the bad beater (me)... and 25% to the rest of the table.

Because my friend and I had a profit split agreement (although, I am sure he would have done this anyway), we cut up the 75% of the jackpot for a very healthy profit. I used my split to pay for my family Christmas expenses and the very next day, my friend took his family on a Christmas trip to an all inclusive resort in the Carribean!

    Cheers!

Best live was 1/2, started $200 and cashed $1600. I have had several in the $400-800 range. Usually tighten up when I am way up if there are other large stacks.

Best online was winning a 3000 tourney back in the Paradise days. Unfortunate it was a $1 tourney, won around $1,200.

Thanks, it was at Casino Niagara.

The minimum hand was AAA-1010 and it was the first payout of the jackpot.

Pretty cool and it was so cool it was my friend and I.

Nobs i could write a novel... and then some.

one of my most memorable ones though, was flopping quad 5's and droping over 3k to a straight flush.

    BOARD Qh 5x 10h turn 5h river 8h

Guy was holding A3J9 all hearts

    my hole cards 5577

have also had my fair share of suckouts on the other end.

I made two really big laydowns playing 2/5 in Vegas this month where I should have been felted, felt better than a win. One with middle set vs top set, folded post flop; the other with AQ on 24QQK board.

I won $22k in my very first hand of pot limit holdem. Moving to the 5-10 table from an all night 20-40 limit table with several racks of red and green. even though I didn't sit down, an old man said that all of my chips were in play since I set them on the table. My hole cards were 77 on the first hand on them button. Flop comes K77. There was a pot bet, a re-pot raise, and a call in front of meet. I just called. The turn was an A. Perfect!. It was the same action for a lot more money. My only play was to call with all of my remaining chips. My quads beat the top 2 boats in a pot that was min raised preflop.

just lost a tough tough hand. I had pocket aces, i go all in. early in the tourney, every one folds but one person. she has 9 king. yes 9 king. and she catches a straight. and i of course lose.

this is why i almost never play poker online it seems like people just play dumb more then regular pokers play would if you are playing face to face.

Yah....I'm going to go out on a wild limb and say folding your quads to a possible straight flush is a losing bet in the long run.

Wow what a long story about something so average...

For about 15 years, since the invention of bad beat stories, and for that matter, GOOD beat stories... I've made sure I've told the story teller... "You have 10 seconds or less to explain"...

This is of NO OFFENSE to any of you donkeys that still think ANY hand is worth caring about in the big picture... Good OR bad... since I've played a fn Million Plus since...

But to be a contributing factor to this thread that I attempted to not troll, but did anyhow...

My BEST win ever is that time that they didn't suck out on me...
