Dwan is supposedly one of the best players in the world, notice how he always loses at WSOP, plays so many events always loses. Main Even always out early and pathetically. Edge is so small for these players, they overestimate their abilities, can't make people fold as easily.

Take a 6-man SNG, with Antonio, Ivey, Dwan, whoever, they have little edge on me, I'll play anytime.

Esfandiari never was a good poker player. I think that's why he actually had to take a job as a broadcaster.

Look at Poker after Dark, Ivey, Esfandari, dwan, horrible win %.

NBC Heads up Championships.... they always loses year after year after, so much for being "super pros".

Its not like it's a big field, just 6 players and 64 for heads up.

I can close my eyes and their odds are still not that great heads up.

Hellmuth and antonio both suck. Olivier Busquet has been great when he has been on

I like how the guy knows what he's talking about and knows everyone's hand or at least thinks he does and all the 2plus2 fags jerk off to him yet he loses every wsop tourney he plays in.

i heard hewitt was utg+1 which makes this borderline awful of a call since bounahra was probably giving him credit for at least a decent hand.

k is sorta right about the skill. if a decent player played a normal sit n go tournament against these guys they would have very little edge if any. you stick them in a cash game where everyones deep its probably gonna be a different story. these wsop events also have a ton to do with table draws.

He missed one out, he must be an awful poker player. They should never allow him to commentate again.

Agreed. I think it has been pretty decent for live coverage.
Helmuth is great because he also disects the body language while the hand is in progress.

I know, how many of these 'pros' that post in this thread won a WSOP bracelet or 2 WPT titles.

Esfandiari has played more hands last month then most have played in a lifetime.

If he plays anybody here heads up 10 times, he wins at least 8, just on experience alone.

You play a thousand events, eventually you'll win 2 or 3.....

I don't think he plays online that often so I've probably played more hands in one month than he does all year.

Look, if Tom Brady was commentating the superbowl, and the offense needed 15 yards for a 1st down, and he said they need to run a quick out pass, wouldn't you call him out? Doesn't mean I'm saying I'm a better quarterback!

That's not my point, my point is amateurs stating they could beat pros in 6 player SnG's.

Maybe 8 out of 100 times, maybe.

theres not much skill at all in a 6 person sit n go. over 100 of them maybe so, not over 1. kinda a crapshoot unless your a complete rookie/donkey.

So "pros" who rarely plays SNG's is going to beat someone who played 10000 of them????

Yeah, I'm sure the pressure of playing for 200k wouldn't bother you at all. Dwan and Ivey would be licking their chops to play you or anyone else on this board HU, but the problem is they aren't going to play for napkins, so I guess in that regard you may be right about having an edge there.

There is A LOT of luck involved in playing poker. In order for you to win big, you need to get paid on your made hands, and not get sucked out. People don't really pay people off anymore because everyone is at least pretty decent at poker now.

That must have been the only hand you watched Esfandiari commentate, for the most part his reads were dead on.
