Advice for nice places with small limits in Vegas?

Will go to Vegas in a week and will play some poker. Was there 2005 and had a great time at the smallest limit tables at Excalibur.

Since I´m quite bad and unexperienced the smaller limits the better. But it´s also important with a relaxed atmosphere, people enjoying some drinks and having fun rather than places where people go crazy when they lose...

    What would you suggest?

Downtown Freemont Street is the place for low limits.

Planet Hollywood had the vibe you are describing when I went. Also I enjoyed playing at the Venetian but there are better players there.

There's no point in playing anything under 4-8...the rake is too large and its virtually impossible to win in the long run. Most tourists, i.e. the worst players, flock to the more popular poker rooms such as Venetian, Caesar's Palace and Bellagio. In the smaller poker rooms especially off the strip you'll run into more rounders so I'd avoid them. Good luck on your trip!

I haven't played in the room, but I heard that the MGM's poker room is right between "Studio 54" nightclub and the sportsbook. If you are willing to play 1-2 NL the games are probably soft there on nights when the club is busy.

I was there..stay away from anything off the strip. Deep_Rest was right, thats where a lot of the rounders are.

I´ll stay at the strip and won´t be in town for too long so I think I´ll go with those places at the strip.

Thanks to all of you, great help and the link fits my needs perfectly
