I know SBR is operating under financial constraints in regards to the software. You want an experience that is good for the players and cost effective on your end. I think there are some basic things that can be improved upon going forward that would make things easier for everyone. In fact as long as you get the basic things right you won't need to burden yourselves with adding new games or such right away because a solid platform of NLH with good software is enough for a room to develop off of.

Anyway here are some basic suggestions to get the thread started:

1)Timebank
A timebank is basically a nonreplenishable reserve of time that you can access during a tournament/cash game (usually 60 seconds) that gives you extra time to make a decision. This is pretty standard in every poker software on the market and for good reason. Players need this time to think about situations. The delay that currently exists is not enough.

2) Disconnect Protection

It is somewhat akin to a timebank but is a time period (15 seconds in most cases) where this is a delay in the play to allow someone to reconnect. It is usually nonreplenishable as well. Every player experiences disconnects no matter who they are from time to time. Allowing them some time to reconnect is just good faith towards the players.

These are not unreasonable requests I think and would make the experience better for everyone.

Stash I think means while the hand is in play, I seen it somewhere the cards are like ghosted out so you can keep track of what you would have had during that hand.

+1 to this, having to check the bootleg handhistory is not convenient if your multi-tabling various sites.

It's currently still way better than clown sites like doyle's room.

Sit and Gos more often, and guaranteed tournaments. Like you can have daily 2000 point guaranteed tourney with 50 point buy in, weekly 10000 guaranteed with 200 point buy in etc.

Yisman, sorry I am responding so late from your post. I was not arguing with you and I was not lying, I am running Windows 7 and I have been running it since I joined SBR.

In the past, I have had two separate instances (that lasted more than a few days each) where the disconnects happenned. Since the last time this happenned to me, I have not had a problem. At no times have I changed any settings that correlate to the problems experienced.

That all said, I have never said that Win7 had nothing to do with the problems, just that it was not specifically the (only) cause.

As I and others have said, I think there is an issue with the software during hand transitions and it also seems to be around the blinds. My guess is that the software (client and server) are having a hard time handling the encryption and handshakes between the client/server is causing the disconnects. Maybe Win7 exacerbates the problem, but it definately is not the only problem.

Well, I'm pretty certain Windows 7 compatibility is a major issue.

I did the fix mentioned in that thread and I rarely have disconnects anymore.

I would like them to make sbr poker compatible with windows 7, so that one can play normally. A lot of people with Windows 7 are having the issue.

You folded it for a reason, and besides it doesn't even matter, since the cards are generated randomly. There is no predetermined flop turn and river when the hand begins, so if you call, the flop would be different.

Is that actually true? The following cards are changed by actions of the players? I would have assumed that the action does not affect the flop upcoming cards.

Every site uses a different method to generate random cards. I only know that Full Tilt continuously shuffles the deck during the hand, so if you click 1 second later, you would see a different turn.

after seeing, or, more accurately, not seeing any reasonable suggestion to the poker software EVER being implemented, I sent my trusty investigative chimp over to sbr headquarters to see wtf is goin' on regarding this issue......

as usual, he came back with the goods.... the problem is sbr has assigned one of the costa rican locals, found on the streets along side of hundreds of similar feral natives, to "screen" all suggestions regarding up grades that come in............

as you can see, we're stuck with hand by hand play ten away from the actual bubble, not seeing our hole cards after folding, etc. etc. etc. for a long while:
