    Suggestions for SBR Poker

I like the poker program overall and am glad it was implemented.I haven't played much there because of time/value constraints but there are also barriers to entry putting me off too. I think the poker room needs some changes if you want to see it become a greater and more positive force in the community.

1)You need to lower the limits. Any good pokersite needs a lower limit playerbase to feed higher games. I am unsure if you guys take rake from ring games/tournaments as I have not played in them much but opening more limits/tables is just going to be beneficial for all parties. The high buy in requirement puts a lot of people off from playing currently. Not to mention nobody is really properly bankrolled for these games so they go bust faster. If the stakes are lower more people will play, more games will run, people will be able to play longer and not go bust as quickly. The value proposition is that the more tables running for longer periods generates greater rake.

2)You need longer operating hours. 2 Hours is simply not enough to play. I am unsure why the client is closed so much of the time. Is it because of bandwidth issues or are you lacking proper support to aid in the functioning of the room? Either way I think opening ring tables at a minimum from 4PM EST to 1AM EST is a good first step. It screws euros but the valued majority on the site are Americans so you have to start from there.

3)You need to open the client to all SBR members. I understand why it isn't open now. You guys are worried about chipdumping through people with multiple accounts. It is a risk no doubt but if you ever want to move the room forward you need to expand the playerbase. Perhaps requiring a minimum post count to play or possibly just increased scrutiny by staff or permanent banning of players who abuse the system will be sufficient.

4)You need to enable Private tournaments. With the closing of Pokerstars, Full Tilt Poker and Cereus Skins to American players there is a void in the market for private real money tournaments. A lot of poker communities on the internet run tournaments amongst members as a social/fun activity. They used to run real money tournaments but they are now forced to use play money. There are other sites open to American players atm that offer private tournaments but because of processor issues people aren't using them. betpoints fit this gap in the market. They are not real money but they are not altogether worthless either. These people want to play with some sort of risk/reward. You should seek to fill this gap. Not to mention these people are american gamblers in your target market who will likely deposit at the sportsbooks themselves since the majority of them run poker skins still open to US punters.

I think the ring tables are generally open from 12-12 mon-sat. Sometimes it closes early but that is the general availabilty.

Lower limits is good but I think it might dilute the existing cash games. see the next point.

As far as numbers, I agree it is an issue but I really like the existing poker crew and there seems to be new people coming in all the time to take a shot. dummy accounts and short stacking chip duming would be a problem that I would like to not have to worry about.

Private tourneys (or maybe just custom tourneys) and/or sng's all of the time is something I think is a really good idea and I am not sure why there is any reason it is not done yet.

    Cheers.
