    PartyPoker the new PokerStars

PartyPoker was smart back when all this happened in 2006 and paid off the US Government. They did this because they knew when the US passed a law to legalize online poker that the US would let them come back in the market. The joke sites PokerStars and Full Tilt on the other hand kept on pulling shady illegal sh*t on the US Government while still using their banks and processors. I actually liked PartyPoker back when they allowed USA players to play there and i hope when this bill does get passed that PartyPoker will accept USA players once again. F*ck PokerStars and Full Tilt they had this coming and deserve everything they get

I agree with one thing you said, party poker was nice. Mainly because it was largest at the time and that was when everyone could easily get money onto any book so many fish played often and money was easy to win.

Everything else you say makes you sound like a broke moron. Sorry you got busted on stars when the competition level increased. My guess is you were one of those guys that used to pop onto tables asking for "donations" or promising paybacks that never happened.

Do yourself a favor and get snipped low rent stiff.

yeah you cant deposit there if you in the states:

The President of the United States has signed legislation that now causes bwin.party to have to cease taking wagers from US customers. We will also suspend accepting deposits from US customers while we reevaluate our business model for the US and assess potential offerings to US customers that would be within the new law.

This will not affect the Play For Free games and we will be seeking to provide additional products and services to our US player community.

Naturally, your Account will remain accessible.

Non-US players and all Play For Free services will not be affected.

I simply don't understand this perspective from Americans that supposively support personal freedom.

The only thing that these sites did that was "shady" was to find ways to fairly and cost effectively provide money transfer services that their customers expected/demanded. In no way did these companies take money unfairly from its customers, people logged on, put money in of their own free will and played poker. Whether customer's claimed anything on their income taxes is irrelevant.

Also, the only reason these companies were doing anything "shady" was because the US government deems when and where you are allowed to spend your money. They arbitrarily decided what you are allowed to gamble your money on. Vegas, AC, Indian Casinos, off-track betting, lotteries are all fine, but not online poker. That is the very definitation of arbitrary and non-democratic.

Whether you are a democrat, republican or any political party, and whether you like online poker or not, it is my opinion that you should despise everything to do with the UIGEA and anything related to these arbitrary gambling laws and crackdowns.

No reasonable person would argue with reasonable regulations/controls on gambling, in order to protect its citizens but making it illegal and forcing people and companies to operate in "shady" ways to do what should be their personal freedom to do so. It does the exactly the opposite, it exposes their citizens to scams and lessens/negates their protections and rights.

Lets get the american people to argue about real issues and protect their freedoms instead of the imature and inane arguements that just distract and divide you.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

    Cheers

If PS and FT can survive the imminent "bank run" on player balances while who knows what % of their liquidity is frozen in seized assets, they will STILL probably be bigger than Party Poker -- they've done a LOT of brand building with the extra $$$ they made in the US market over the past few years, and have diversified themselves into other markets reasonably well.

PS might need to get some short term financing to get past the "bank run" which may be a little complicated given their current situation, but I'd expect they can find investors given the profit potential of the brand even SANS the US market.

what don't you people get that posted in this thread? you think f*cking over the USA Government is just temporary and tilt and stars will be back? those two sites are all done permanently at least to USA players and are never going to be back in the USA market. this is what happens when you think you can keep f*cking with the USA Government after the act was passed back in 2006. those scumbag sites kept using USA banks and processors even after they knew that gambling act had been passed. they didn't care about that they just wanted to keep making money illegally and now this happened to the losers. say bye bye to full tilt and pokerstars because those joke sites are never gonna be available to USA players again and i'm actually glad!
