    April SBR Series Tournament Leader Board Contest

    All Tournament Information Here


    Hi guys, there was talk last month of having some sort of leaderboard contest, but it never really got off the ground. I'm throwing my hat in the ring to have and run one this month.



    Entry Fee: 50 betpoints

    The month long tournament is 50 points to register. Only registrants will be playing, ship your payment to ThaddeusB in this post here to enter. Registration closes on April 4th at 12PM EDST


    Scoring

    Scoring will be as follows:

    Daily Tournaments

    1st place: 5 points
    2nd place: 4 points
    3rd place: 3 points
    4th place: 2 points
    5th place: 1 point


    Weekly Tournament

    1st place: 10 points
    2nd place: 8 points
    3rd place: 6 points
    4th place: 4 points
    5th place: 2 points


    The number of first place finishes you have will be kept in parentheses next to your name, used only to break ties. A first place in the Saturday Tournament counts as 2 1st place points.



    This contest is set up to reward consistent play. We will see who rules the roost this month, I work from home and have plenty of time to keep this post updated with all stats and leaderboards for us that enter. I'm not really looking to change any of the terms, or start a discussion about non-pros. This is what I'm up for, can generate a significant amount of side points for winners without breaking the bank and what I think makes sense.

    I would feel better about transfering all the points to one person...have them be the bank for the month, then have them transfer out winnings accordingly.

    If someone stiffs, the pool is out 50 points. If someone ***** up with all the points, the whole contest is for not. Personal responsibility is less risky. With an end date of Saturday and a payment due date of Wednesday, any pro can earn the 50 points needed to ship out. If they don't, the casher gets 30% on top of what they are owed or the scumbag gets junk loans reported on them in the credit report and aren't allowed in any future contests like this.

    How about everyone who is in transfer you the 50 points...Keep your scoring system the same.

    At the end,

    You keep 35 for running the tourney and for payout rake fees.

    Based on 22 entrants (1000 points paid out, Fuzzy Dunlop keeps 35 for his services)
    Overall Standings
    1st Place - 45%
    2nd Place - 25%
    3rd Place - 15%
    4th Place - 10%
    5th Place - 5%


    If we can get 22 people to sign up, then top 5 get paid out, and 5th place gets back his entry fee.

    22 entrants would be 1,100 in the pool. I'm not interested in making anything off of this, there are much more opportunities this month to earn points with the smaller weekday fields that I really don't think welching will be an issue, if it is, we can address it for future months. Would consider paying 5 spots if we break 30.

    I would get in this but i never can play in the sats tourney due to work .....so it would be pointless for me but good idea....are we even sure we are having a april tourny havent heard word of it yet!!!

    I do not anticipate non-pros being interested in joining anyway, but if anyone was I would be fine with them sending 2/day for 25 days to cover the necessary 50 (if Fuzzy approves).

    The higher variance in the weekends could make it more exciting, hence the double points. The last tournament of the series is on a Saturday, would be great to have major implications on the line at the finish line.

    I would like to open this to non-pros too, but let's run this month smoothly before we make it any more complicated with non-pro payment threads. It's a decent sized undertaking as is for the first one.
