Classic sequence to finish this game

Vince Cancer bricks a wide-open 3 and Kobe drills another big shot.

Biggest piece of shit choke artist misses and the most clutch player in the NBA seals the deal.

Didn't Kobe miss 5+ shots in the last minute of reg and in OT that could have put them ahead/sealed the win? And not passing the ball in the 5 on 3 transition and turning it over. Kobe isn't that clutch.

    VC sucks though lol

I guess we should clarify clutch. Do you mean last 5 minutes of a game and taking over, or hitting last shot to tie/win/put game away?

Kobe definitely meets the first part (he and Lebron are far and away top 2 there)

Dude, he's been pretty much the most all-style/no-substance player in the league since he joined. His wide-left brick to finish regulation and clank of a wide-open 3 in the third OT were classic Vince.

It's got to be embarrassing to see all of your teammates stepping up big around you while you're going 7-for-23 from the field, 2 of 13 from distance and hauling in a grand total of 3 rebounds in 40 minutes.

    Vince Carter is brutal.

Make sure to catch the 3 he attempted at the end of regulation. He Scott Norwood-ed it (except I think Vince's shot was wide left instead of wide right).

He's 6/21 on playoff game-winning/tying shots... there's at least 5-10 current players I would want taking the last shot over him

According to this Carter is more clutch than Bryant.

    http://www.82games.com/clutchplay3.htm

"In the final 24 seconds of playoff games, Bryant has racked up almost as many airballs as makes, making just below 30 percent of game-tying or go-ahead shots."

That's a definite "stats are for nerds" link.

I doubt one NBA GM or coach would take Vince Carter over Kobe in a clutch situation.

VC had a some crazy clutch shots a week or two ago @ OKC that kept the Suns alive.

His clutch FT shooting is very suspect, however

you must be a kobe hater. you are crazy if u would consider 5-10 current players instead of kobe to take the last shot.

i'm assuming ur a kobe well u must be for saying that so you would probably take Lebron and Wade to take the last shot instead of Kobe. How has that worked out for Miami

Did Kobe miss 5 shots in the last minute and overtime?? Probably, but he made some great passes to gasol and artest, and drained big shot when needed. You say he missed 5 shots in the last minute and ot that's 16min of games, how many players miss 5 shots in a span of 16minutes, plenty of them do. Kobe was clutch as nails today, I hate the damn lakers, but facts are facts.

    Carmelo Anthony.
    D-Wade
    Brandon Roy
    Jason Terry

Kobe is full of himself, and tonight was a great example. He hoisted up at least 4 straight bricks in OT, B4 attempting a pass. Gasol got the ball twice in OT, and went 2 for 2.

    Carmelo?

Alright Houli, I'm going to let this thread die because I hate defending Kobe.

If you'd say Ray Allen, Pierce or even Durantula, you'd maybe have my attention.
