    Remember reading Forrest Griffin was walking around at 240 before the Rich Franklin fight. Fairly standard practice. Additional height or reach is no reason to change weight class either.

    My friends and I had this discussion on satruday night, everyone in that division has a big run, wins the title and then they can not defend it. Look at Liddell he was champ for the longest, then rampage came in and everyone figured he would rule for a while. Then Machida won it and everyone said no one could touch him, then shogun dominated him. Then everyone figured shogun was healthy and was going to rule the division.

    I do agree that Bones is really gifted and young but I doubt that he rules the division without a couple of losses here or there.

    I'm saying within all sports there are athletes with unique physical attributes which make them ideally suited to that sport. Saying it is unfair for Jones to fight at 205 because of his height and reach is the same as saying its unfair for any of the above to compete in their chosen field because of their physical make-up. If he makes 205, he makes 205, therefore, he can fight at 205, along with everyone else who cuts weight to fight at 205.

    Hater, do you think Shogun could stop Jones takedowns if he were healthy? If so, why? Having better cardio doesn't help if you're being taken down at will a minute into the fight.
    Jones has some of the most vicious GNP in mma. He seems to break a bone every time he ground and pounds someone. I think he might have broken shoguns ribs.

    Stupid name, no, I don't think Shogun could stop Jones' takedowns at 100 percent. But that doesn't give Jones the fight. Machida took (healthy) Shogun down twice and Shogun was right back up.

    Now if you have to guess about Shogun's injuries, you probably don't know much.
