jj, i am starting to think you're a closet hockey fan. i am so sure you watch alot of games. here is the proof. you bet so much hockey each yr. your city team NJ... you have a legend in marty brodeur, and were winning cups 15 yrs ago, and were in the finals last yr. and finally, when you were in MTL 2 yrs ago, you paid 200$ to be at a habs game. now who would pay 200$ to see a game they hate? i would not pay 200$ to watch soccer, even if liverpool were playing. but you did. so stop bashing our sport, mr closet hockey fan. we know you like hockey.

Also, i know hockey is not huge in the states, and it's only big in the north eastern part of the states because of cold weather and sport being canadian and all, but even in NY area last yr, pre LIN, the NYR outrated the knicks in tv ratings, and that includes the large pct of blacks in NY, and we all know how much blacks hate hockey.

and speaking of being in MTL, wow, can you believe it's been 2 yrs since you were here? i swear to god it feels like 4 weeks ago you were here. where has the time gone??

Last lockout was horrible. I remember on saturday night hockey they played movies instead, what a shame.

Grew up watching hockey in the mid 80's to late 90's... Watched Steve Yzerman's first game... Watched Sergei Federov's first game... For some reason... that "feeling" just faded... I honestly could careless if they even have a season. It's lousy to wager on... you'd have better odds sticking your junk through a glory hole and seeing what's on the other side... than to have success in picking an Over/Under in a hockey game. Hope they never reach an agreement.

It's doubtful that we will see a full season. Most likely a shortened one.

Latest rumors I'm hearing is that we are going to be in a lockout until December and to expect hockey in January sometime.

That will suck because all we will be left with is the worthless and fixed NBA in between NFL Sundays.
