    If the Heat lose tonight...

You can kiss their season good bye.
Perhaps their 2nd round exit was already evident to most, but I was willing to believe they may have finally gotten a message they have to earn wins in this league. Losing to Chicago on Sunday should have sent a message to everyone on that team.
But if they lose again at home to a +.500 team, well I wouldn't be surprised if the Knicks or 76ers get knock them out in RD1.
Is there anyone here who still thinks they can pull it together in time for the playoffs?

Overhyped from the start, not sure why Chris Bosh is considered a superstar, he played on shitty Raptors team

maybe not, if they wind up vs NY or Philly, which they look headed to play they can easily win those series --

Portland is a strong, deep team. I don't see any shame losing to them.

Keep in mind how awful the Celtics were last season before April...

But the celtics were not healthy. And if you followed them, it was evident Celtics were reserving themselves for playoffs. The Heat have their
core healthy and actually trying, and still losing. Whenever Celtics were in must win situation last season they won the game, esp at home.(exception game 7 of finals) . And Celtics had more then 2 wins vs .500 teams. Not fair comparison.

People come on this forum thinking that if they read, they'll get the sharp play and not the public play. It makes them think that they're not part of the public anymore just by logging on. Reality check man: you're a public pube.

Heat wil have hard time finding themselves but it seems they're goin' to win if they don't repeat the ORL game.

Miami is down 9 with less than a minute left and he's saying, "you can feel this one slipping away"

Hes just a foul machine runs around and gets a foul then they put him back on the bench LOL . Look at all the points portlands bench has and look at miami. This is just pathetic. 2 players score 69 points combined and they still lose , they need more debth this is horrible.

I'll freely admit I'd be happy to see the heat never win a championship with this crew.

With that being said, until they are eliminated from the playoffs, all this reg season drama is just preamble.

uhhh..no. the celtics last season are not even close to the situation the heat are in.

the celtics were willingly losing games by playing bench players to keep the starters as healthy or get them as healthy as possible for the playoffs. the heat can't buy a win right now with all their starters playing and won't go anywhere in the playoffs anyway.

the celtics had a lot of key guys missing minutes from night to night, much like this season and it took them until april to get healthy for the playoffs after the blistering start they got out to. pierce played all of last season at a bunch less than 100% and was almost shut down multiple times. you can tell he was gritting it out all season by the fact that i can't remember him ever dunking at all. this year he's way healthier and has thrown down some pretty big jams including the one over frye against phx a couple weeks back.

the heat on the other hand are just overrated. all their key guys are healthy, in fact they seemed to be playing better when bosh was hurt for that short stretch. they just can't win because they aren't a team.
