    What sport can you absolutely not listen to on the radio?

    Any fast-paced sport with more than two participants would be unbearable to follow on the radio.

    Baseball is the only sport I don't mind on the radio, lots of commentary between pitches. Great for in the car...

    Soccer cause there are no broadcasts of it here in USA.

    I actually prefer to listen to Baseball/ Basketball over watching them on tv.

    hockey is by far the toughest if you don't know the players well. if you know only 2 players in the game, you'll never know who has the puck or who just scored.

    Hockey is the most out of the four major sports to call also.
    The action is non stop and furious, the announcers have to know all the players on all four shifts on each team, they have to pronounce those Slavic players names, the ones with 14 letters, one of which is a vowel......

    Very few announcers can call a very good hockey game.

    Marv can, Doc can, most can't.

    basketball on the radio makes me want to drive my car off a bridge, especially a team like the bobcats or the bucks. oh god I can hear it now, it's like nails on a chalkboard
