Yeah, like when the refs call four ticky-tack touchfouls on the visiting team in the first 3:45 minutes of the first half, calls that wouldn't even be made in your 8th graders PAL weekly game, and you are wondering why the home team is shooting one and ones at the 9:00 mark and double bonuses with 8 minutes to go in the half.

Yes and No. Weird sh1t does happen that has you thinking whatafuk. Players and Refs many times will make calls or fouls that will just have you yell out FIX, at the most unlikely time.!

Do players bet on games? Of course they do. Do they shave points every once in awhile? Yes they do. But I don't believe this "some mafia boss wants XX to lose" or "Stern wants a Kobe vs. LeBron finals so the refs are gonna throw the games to make sure they get there" that's just bs.

not sure about rigged, but I can assure you that certain playmakers on this site work for the books and promote games. That is obvious.

    Let's not act like yesterday's TOR/NJN game wasn't rigged to go 3OT.

    From the write up:

The game featured four missed buzzer-beaters and provided exactly the kind of thrilling finish league officials were looking for when they decided to bring regular-season games to Europe for the first time.
    Sorry under players.

Of course it is rigged. David Stern has been commissioner for 30 years, humans always have corruption when somebody is in power for so long. Just look at history.

Of course there are idiots on here that think since a ref or whoever cant make somebody miss a shot, it cant be rigged, like shooting is the only part of basketball

Nevermind the players that will miss shots on purpose.

Totals probably get rigged more than spreads as all you have to do is control the pace, and it is less suspicious to the common fan

This is exactly the logic the public has that makes those who rig games get away with it. Keep the public stupid and continue to make money. You can't rig every game otherwise it wouldn't work (obviously). There are certain people who are involved in cheating, they try their best to blend in, once they get paid they might even return to their normal roles as a ref or player.

Every sport has cheating in it, obviously they try their best to hide it so people like you don't find out. If you thought rigging a sport would be obvious then you need to spend a lot more time following sports my friend.

    Celtics are -6.5
    Find the fix here.

I'll point it out to you, but I'll give you guys some time.

Only people aware of the point spreads / gamblers can spot it, the casual hoops fan that don't bet, just watch because they like the game or whatever will never spot it.

    Right here.
0:38 Ray Allen away from ball foul (John Salmons draws the foul) 86-82

    C's up 4, Bucks ball.
    C's are UNDER the limit.
    Foul to give.
They are not shooting free throws until the second foul UNLESS, there is a foul away from the ball BEFORE the inbounds.
    Only way.

Ray Allen is a very smart man, off the court and on.
He was an honor student at UCONN, and has been taught the game of basketball by the very best minds, Calhoun, Rivers, the list is endless.
He (and the ref) knew the game line was 6.5, he knows not to foul before the inbound, he knows the rules, he knows his team has a foul to give.

By putting the Bucks on the line (needlessly) , they cut into the four point lead, making a 6.5 or 7 point outcome so much more improbable.
Sure as shit, free throw made, 3 point game, instead of 4, if the Bucks don't go to the line, miss the shot, C's rebound, they get fouled immediatly, start doing the math.

That full of shit, phantom, bogus call virtually ensured a Buck cover.

3 out of 4 rigged outcomes are results of refs calls, usually set up in advance, like refs calling nit-pick touch fouls in the beginning of a half to ensure the other team to go to the line later in the half, often.

One more thing, Bucks let Pierce dribble out the clock after the rebound at the end.
Hmmm, most teams foul there, no foul, why? Celtics don't cover, 72 percent of the public on the Celtics lose.

p.s. I was on the under, no sour grapes here.
