If online gambling was legalized in the US

How many of these off shore books would survive? You would have to figure big casinos in Vegas/AC set up shop online. A ton of others would dive into the industry. Would you still keep your money offshore when you can have a book based in Delaware or anywhere in the US? Could be an interesting turn of events if this happens.

I wouldn't mind paying taxes on my winnings if this were to happen. I know I have been scammed a couple of times by books, so I hope the regulation would mean more stable shops and less scam books.

I would think there would be more people deducting their losses than having their winnings taxed. Maybe that's the hold up

You can't deduct losses from income, only to offset gambling winnings.
