I'm moving to Chicago in a month. I'm sure as hell not bringing my car so im canceling my car insurance. See how that works?

So I'm still on my dads cushy governmental insurance until I'm 26. But after that now I am going to have to spend like 5,000 to get on northwesterns health insurance and im guessing their number will go up bc of this bullshit

On one hand, every citizen of every country should have health care taken care of by the government, as is done in most of the developed countries around the world, with the exception of one, the United States of America.

On the other hand, many of the technological advances made in the health care industry were done by R&D of privately-funded companies that benefit from the high prices that they charge. One could argue that without the high cost of health care in the states, many of the procedures and medications that currently exist would not exist at all, if there were no money in it.

Example: Would Viagra exist if a 30-pack bottle of it were sold for $9.95?

What if you get injured or sick? Who is going to pay for that? Do you have the money lying around to pay for an injury? Have you priced even ambulance rides to the ER lately?

I once went into the HR office and told them I didn't want the BS health and dental coverage and to please add the portion I was paying to my pay check. I got laughed at. So whether you like it or not you're already being forced to buy it.

Yes, 88% the last I read. And that's just licensed drivers. How many people have licenses but don't drive. I have several friends who live in large cities, maintain a license mainly for rental purposes, but rarely drive. I have a US license but do not drive in the US. I bet those types of cases drop the actual number another 5-10%.
