Why are books starting to shy away from Washington State customers?

You can no longer use FedEx as a cashout option at your book if you live in washinton state. What the heck is going on in that State?

    ignore this retard.

I don't know anything about Washington state politics, but I guess there are some hardcore conservatives up top in your state that are really cracking down on all gambling. As mentioned above, poker rooms such as full tilt and pokerstars began banning players from the state due to Washington state laws. It was then only a matter of time before they started cracking down on books and as expected, they ended up doing so. I think someone created a thread a few weeks ago about bookmaker or some other book banning bettors from their site.

I could be wrong, but I think he means you can't use Fedex to send a *********** or check to fund your account at an offshore book. I'm not from Washington State, but I'm pretty sure you can still use fedex to send packages if your a resident there.

how does this not make sense? What makes more sense? 1) what I said or 2) believing you can't use fedex if your a Washington state resident? What good reason would there be to ban the use of fedex in the state of Washington? Now that makes no sense at all.

Wow this thread is getting hijacked! I meant books canceled Fed Ex shipping to Washington State. This use to be a payout option.
Also Washingon is very liberal. The ban is coming from Christine Gergorie the governor the senator Patty Murray who are both far left Dems.

It is also a class C felony if caught gambling with an offshore book in that State. The same level as child porn. This so stupid and down right frighten!

wow, that is shocking. Would have thought a conservative would be responsible for this. I guess the only solution is to either move out of the state or find some way around it. Not sure it's worth the risk as the new Washington laws strictly prohibit INTERNET gambling and you could go to jail if caught. You could also just stop gambling, but I'm sure you're a degen like the rest of us, so that is clearly not an option

The pac northwest political agenda is certainly a unique one... in law school we learned they have lots of conservative undertones to what outwardly appears to be glaringly liberal.

Politics aside it sounds like they are simply enforcing federal or state laws. May or may not be constitutional, if its a state law it prolly is. Be a test case and get caught.

They have been putting the hammer down on online poker for a while now. This is just the next logical step for them.

The law is not enforced and their not looking for illegal gamblers. The only way they will find out is if your comment different felony.
Eventually they will have online policing looking illegal online gaming.

Strictly speaking, online gambling isn’t actually illegal under federal law, although several states (such as New York, Washington, and Nevada) have banned it for their residents. Instead, the 2006 federal law (bizarrely shoehorned into a bill focusing on tightening security at U.S. seaports) prevents businesses from accepting ************, wire transfers, checks, and other transactions if they were to be used in “unlawful Internet gambling.”

Fair enough header. If you pay taxes on your winnings, I would double dare you to send a video to your State Attorney General showing how you have fun betting sports online.
