Hello players! Let’s see how things went this post-Super Bowl blues week. Monday the players struck first in the NBA with the Lakers -3.5, Portland +2.5, Utah -2, and Phoenix +5. The house wrangled a little back with Charlotte +4.5 and Minnesota +8, but still a good start to the week for the players. In the colleges, the players picked up wins on Pittsburgh even and Kansas -11 while the house won a small game with Illinois-Chicago +16 to start out in a hole to open the week.

Tuesday the players got out of the box quickly in the NBA again with wins on Orlando -9.5, San Antonio -6.5, and Milwaukee -7. The books countered with Indiana +10.5 and Memphis +7.5 to even things out for the night in the pros. Meanwhile, in NCAA, the players picked up wins on the Purdue game falling 14, Southern Illinois +16, Kentucky -8.5, and San Diego State -17. The books came back with Xavier +5 and Boston College +9 to limit the damage for about a break even day overall.

Wednesday on the big board the players won with Orlando -1, San Antonio -7.5, the Clippers +7.5, and Chicago +1 while the house successfully countered with Charlotte +4.5, Sacramento +5, and Denver +3 to make a few bucks in the NBA for the night. On to the big NCAA board with the players winning with Old Dominion -9, George Washington +5.5, Wyoming +16.5, Florida -4, Texas -10.5, and North Carolina +10.5 (the public will take the dog usually in a conference Rivalry if the price seems too high and that was the case here). The books picked up wins on South Florida +6, Wake Forest +8, Georgetown +5, Iowa +7, and Texas A&M +3 to have a decent night overall in the college hoops.

Thursday saw the players jump out on top with the ever popular Lakers coming back in the second half to beat the Celtics 92-86; the players also tabbed Phoenix -6.5 and Dallas +3 to sweep the small NBA board for the night. The books didn’t fair much better in the colleges picking up a much needed win on St. John’s +2, which was the only real shining light for the day. The players had wins with Florida State -1.5, Butler landing on the number 8 to side the books, Illinois +1.5, UCLA -9, and USC also landing on the number (11) to beat up the house pretty good for the day in combination with the NBA sweep to hand the players a huge night overall.

Friday in the NBA saw the players win with Indiana -9, Portland -3.5, Miami -8, and those Lakers again -3; the books battled back with New Jersey +6.5, Philadelphia +3, and – the big game – Cleveland +4.5 to hold serve for the night (a moral victory but the house will take it). The college board was relatively quiet with the players grabbing a small win on Princeton -3 to close out a wash of a day.

On the big board for Saturday, the players picked up NBA wins on Philadelphia -4.5, Chicago -2.5, San Antonio -6.5, and Dallas pick ‘em. In turn, the house won with Charlotte +7 and Sacramento +4 to cut into the players’ winnings a bit in the NBA. Now on to the monstrous college board for the players, where first they picked up wins on Notre Dame -6, North Carolina +2, Temple -3, Wisconsin -2, Wyoming -4 (heavily bet game by public and sharp players and they nailed it), Georgia -3, Utah +20, Seton Hall +3, Stanford +15, Colorado -1.5 (and landing on 2 to side the books on the Kansas State + money), and heavily bet Wichita State -2. The books punched back with Louisville -2, Vanderbilt +1, Texas Tech +6, Indiana +7, Baylor +11, Memphis -2.5, Tennessee +5, San Diego State +1.5 (good team, it will be fun to see how far they go in tourney), Oregon +8.5, and Idaho +8.5 to claw back somewhat for the day. The players still held the upper hand heading into Sunday though.

Sunday the books finally jumped out of the box on top with big NBA wins with Boston +3, Toronto +2.5, Washington +2, Sacramento +9.5, and the book finally beat the Lakers to close out a big pro hoops day for the house. The players had small wins on Portland -2.5 and Golden State-2.5 but still a huge NBA day for the books. In NCAA, the books won with Georgetown -5.5 and U Conn -9.5, but the players faired much better winning with St. John’s +5.5, Penn State -2, Duke -9 (and landing on 10), and Arizona -5 to cut into the books’ huge NBA day a little. However, it was overall a nice day for the house, the week itself no big winner or loser either way.

Good luck players! Talk to you next week.
