Not sure. What proportion of their players play on credit?
I know they has some problems getting stiffed in the past.

Matchbook management really are the dumbest bunch I have witnessed in this business. I wrote them a long proposal about 3 years ago (and I know others have made similar proposals) offering to seed all of their markets on the basis of my funds being leveraged (no credit). I got a three line response, essentially saying "thanks, not now maybe later".

It transpires not only that they were offering credit lines to others but that those others did pretty much nothing to enhance liquidity.

Wont be surprised if their next move is to pull out of the US market entirely.

Well, let's keep an eye out on the NBA games right before gametime. Usually there are offers around $20K on many games an hour or so before tipoff. Even saw $100K+ being offered on Phoenix moneyline vs Sacto yesterday.

    What an idiotic statement.
Even if you can beat -110, it is still much better to get -104 or -105, no?

Liquidity seems really low in the NBA games today. Usually the offers are much larger than what's there at the moment at this time of day.

Liquidity is down a lot today. Usually, you see offers of $10-25K out there in the NBA. Nothing but hundreds to $2K only today....definitely a bad sign.

If matchbook is done, then I need to find 2 new books to replace it. I am using 5dimes, betjamaica, skybook, sportsbook and betphoenix mainly in addition to matchbook. What 2 other books should I use?

richie, what if you CAN beat the -110 to make a 23,000$ profit that year. and if you laid -102 on those same games, instead of making 23,000$, you'd have made 54,000$. what is better? that's exactly why it's important not to lay -110. you always make more at the end, even if you did show a profit laying -110.

jj, that's one place i never played at that i've aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalways wanted to play at. i hear it's amazing and for a guy like me, everyone tells me it will be a dream come true. but i went to their site 2 months ago and i hated it. i didn't understand it. it was all in decimals and complicating. but that wasn't the main reason i ddin't go there. i heard it was steep commissions. the odds are pretty high though that within 2 months, i will be there betting or at least giving it a try. also, i didn't go there because i heard i can never get down the amount i want on a game because it's for the smaller players. is this true??

It is not great for US sports. NHL in particular has poor liquidity.
It is probably equivalent to Matchbook for NFL and NBA games which are on ESPN.

For soccer, tennis etc it is a dream.

Why don't you post your plays and the number you got them at? After you play them of course, because even at the best number you won't do 55%.

    Thank you very much

RR, in all due respect, because of MB, I make money 28 out of every 30 days.

If it goes by the wayside, so be it .........there are numerous +EV plays all over the world.....be it sportsbetting, video poker, slots, blackjack, poker, or some other gaming venture.

You know what? I can't even argue with you because I don't know.

Over the last 18 months or so, I have spent progressively less time on Matchbook beacuse it was just becoming so unproductive. These days I really only use Matchy to hedge liabilty on Betfair.

Meanwhile my buddy just got down for $15,000 on four NHL games...........ok, whatever.

I do realize SBR caters to extreme highrollers, but most are satisfied with getting down 3,000+ on an NHL game at the best number in the world......some are not.
