    VegasInsider's Season-Long Golf Thread

    Back for another great season of golf and looking to turn a profit for the 6th straight season on the links. I'll document my plays in this thread all season long and they'll be a combination of daily player matchups, Top 10, Top 5 and Winner types of wagers. As per usual, I take the first 4 events off to see who's playing well and who's not. No one has followed these guys in their offseason and it's impossible to know who's going to play well in Hawaii and the two weeks after. Goodluck to those who follow and let's make some coin!! All golf lines will come from The Greek

    Waste Management Phoenix Open

    I can't use The Greek until I turn 21 next year.

    Know of any other books that take those bets? All of the books I have checked don't have them.

    I know but you can't bet on players finishing in the top 5 which is what I really want.

    Matt Kuchar +7800 Guy is on fire, gets top ten finishes like it is nothing. He could win any tournament he plays in. $12.82 to win $1000.

    Jonathan Byrd +20000 Same as Kuchar, been on fire lately. $5 to win $1000.

    J.B. Holmes +4800 Won the tournament in 2006 and 2008. $5 to win $240.

    I am with you on Mickelson, Fowler and Mahan.

    Kuchar has been playing some solid golf this year. Already has 3 starts and 3 top 10s. If he can make a couple more putts, he'll be playing for the title on Sunday. Byrd is def a longshot, but with a win already he knows what it feels like to win and that's the hardest thing to overcome. Goodluck with your plays! I'll be updating daily

    id say rory mcilroy, paul casey, martin kaymer, ricky fowler in that order.

    i know that he is but hes not in good form right now. have you seen him play much lately- mostly just on the euro circuit but hes not doing too well in this young year.

    Some players have finished their 2nd round and now have a lengthy wait to start their 3rd. Along with this, some players haven't teed off yet for their 2nd round and face a long day of golf (Overton and Mick)

    My longshot is done, Jacobson won't be making the cut. Overton still has 18 holes to play and is right there with Leishman. Michelson, Mahan and Dustin Johnson are all within striking distance...looks like we'll have some horses in the race!

    I like Tom Lehman to come out and shoot well today, I took him over Chris Riley. He shot well Thursday, got Friday to relax and his old body should be good for the 2nd round today.

    Overton playing like hell and that's looking like a loss. Kim and Jacobson **. Still have 3 horses in the running to win this thing, but need someone to go low. Johnson could sneak into T5 for a winner.

    Not sure this thing is going to finish today, might be a Monday finale.

    Phew...Overton burys a 12 footer on his last hole to finish at 8-under and tie Leishman. Not a very successful tournament to start the season. Wasn't able to play any Round Matchups due to weather, but we'll get them next week at Pebble Beach

    Pebble is a tough one, Mickelson and Johnson both are over +600 to win, might be worth a chance to throw some on both.
