Is it wrong to ask my pastor to bless a big bet?

I'm planning to make a huge bet on Superbowl. On Sunday morning I'm planning to ask the pastor in our church to bless my betting ticket. Is this wrong?

It is good to go to the track with a small vial of Holy Water in your pocket and to sprinkle a few drops on your ticket. There are days when this works well. However works better with Show tickets than with Exotics.

    1) What happens if someone asks him to bless a bet on the other side?
    2) Best to cut out the middle man and get on ya' knees.

wrong on so many different levels. As said many times before, even if there is a god, he doesn't give a shit who wins the Super Bowl. And if he did care, how exactly does he go about it. Does he tally up the number of prayers from each side of the bet? Does he take into account the seniority level of the pastors/priests/reverends? I'm sure your friendly neighborhood pastor will bless you're ticket for giggles, but I would say that their is a 99.9% likelihood that it will have absolutely no effect on the outcome of the game, therefore making this thread and the request complete nonsense.

It will cause you to lose. God knows giving you money won't help you in the grand scheme of things. Being poorer actually brings you closer to God.

He usually blesses my kids for $20 per kid. I see nothing wrong blessing a ticket.

It wont help anything but go for it, who cares if he judges you? He's supposed to be tolerant and forgiving

As long as he doesn't ask for a bigger cut than the customary 10% tithing.
