I like the 76ers and the Rockets both on the ML tonight. I have two scenarios:
SCENARIO 1
76ers ML (-195)....Risk $142 to Win $73
Rockets ML (-140)....Risk $112 to Win $80
If they both win........................I'm Up $153
If 76ers win and Rockets lose......I'm down $39
If 76ers lose and Rockets win......I'm down $62
If they both lose.......................I'm down $254
SCENARIO 2
76ers ML (-195)....Risk $123 to Win $63
Rockets ML (-140)....Risk $91 to Win $65
Parlay with Both.......Risk $16 to Win $25
If they both win........................I'm Up $153 (include parlay)
If 76ers win and Rockets lose......I'm down
$44
If 76ers lose and Rockets win......I'm down
$74
If they both lose.......................I'm down $230 (include parlay)
Why wouldn't I use scenario 2??? If both teams win, I win the same amount as in scenario 1. If both teams lose, I save myself $24. If just Rockets lose, I save $11......if just 76ers lose, I save $2.
If my math is right, and I'm not confused, I'll be kicking myself for simply straigh betting for years? I can't believe I've never discovered this before.
