VEGAS 3-1 over JERSEY...............this not even considering the weather, which is 20-1 over Jersey.

You're hanging out Joe and Milly's Deli talking gambling when you could be sitting in a luxurious casino.

.........and instead of playing craps in the back of Kermit's poolhall, you can do it in a real live casino and recieve comps and served free drinks from girls in mini-skirts.

Jersey is in so much shit it is only a matter of time before they bring in sports betting to get them out of the red. These cuts going on in Camden and the neighboring states taking casino rev away they eventually will need to shake things up or they will end up like Cali. I'm thinking they make a strong push for it when the Super Bowl comes to the Meadowlands. Delaware is being a buncha bitches with the way they are handling the situation.

Summers in Vegas must be glorious.

    Just about everyday above 100F.

I mean, everyone loves sitting inside blasting the air conditioning all day, fearful they will spontaneously burst into flames if they step foot out of their door.

    That sounds like a blast.

It's absolutely wonderful except for perhaps 12-15 days in the summer when it reaches 107 or higher.............

100 degrees in VEGAS is delightful weather and I've WALKED 27-36 holes of golf numerous times in the summer when the temps were between 95-105...............beautiful weather.

The HEAT as a negative factor in Vegas is highly overrated...........great weather in Vegas.

I love the weather in Vegas but realistically how often does a person hang out outside? Air conditioned house to air conditioned car to air conditioned casino/work/mall, etc. Being in a casino environment every day gets old quickly for me. Unless someone is there solely to take advantage of cheap real estate and to play poker with the big-timers, I don't see how it's much different than living in Florida. Mind you I haven't lived in Florida for quite a few years so it may have gone to shit as well.

the difference is you have Vegas and then...nothing else within a few hours drive outside of lake mead.
I live across the river from NYC, and have been to Philly, AC, Baltimore, and Boston within the past few weeks with little effort and little stress from the travel, which is easy...

Lived in Vegas for 18 years, Florida for 8 years..............

VEGAS weather is WAY, WAY, WAY better..........but I reckon it's an individual thing.

However, I think if most have lived the same amount of years as I have in both, they would choose VEGAS over FLORIDA weatherwise.

By the way, in Vegas, spend much more time outside than in Florida...............Florida has tons of rain, lightning, and brutal SUN conditions 4 months out of the year.

OK, so you're going to Philly, AC, and Baltimore????????(think I would rather just stay in Cliffton, NJ)............I would much rather drive to Mesquite, Laughlin, St George or the beaches in LA or San Diego than the shitholes you mentioned.

Yeah, I much prefer the weather in Vegas to Florida. I've lived in Arizona as well and to be honest I spent more time outside there than I did in Florida because it's dry heat. But I understand JJ's point - if you're purely a sports bettor I don't know of much of an advantage to living in Vegas over somewhere else. Poker? Definitely. Vegas appeals to me because of the cheap real estate and proximity to LA for work but I can see why others would pass on it. Have you made the official move yet? (Sorry but I'm a bit behind on PT happenings )

Unless you are born in NJ there is no reason of living there. I read yesterday that the city of Camden is firing 50% of the policemen and firemen because they are broke. This is scary.

    1. GAMBLING(EVERYTHING)

    2. WEATHER

    3. FOOD

    4. COST OF LIVING

These are all GREAT REASONS that make Vegas a sweet place to live.

Not sure what you are trying to get out of this thread .... To really answer your question it is probably cheaper to be in NJ than Vegas. If your concerned about the casino just post up at Borgata and call it a day. Other than that like JJ said it's not hard to get bets down anywhere if you have a computer and half a brain. You can be pro without being in Vegas there is really no point to live there year round.

Not sure why the attack on NJ here? Like most things in life the bunch of the same shit over and over gets real old. Doesn't matter if you're at the MGM or the Showboat. Same tables, same games, same old bullshit day after day. Just my 2 cents.

    It's not the same!!

Not even close.......Vegas is the MAJOR LEAUGES of gambling.

Plus, you're not shoveling snow or rocking a car stuck in it(see BobbyFK instructional video).

Best Casinos are not even in Vegas. Monaco and Macau to name a few have much better casinos.

What I am getting at is it is all the same after 5 or so years of being there. Vegas is a hell of a lot nicer but in the grand scheme of things it is all the same. I feel like I would get annoyed with the amount of tourist who didn't know their place living in a place like Vegas.

I personally like the snow couldn't imagine living in heat all year round. You're probably alot older than me so maybe you are gearing up for your death bed in places like Florida and the desert

NJ is ok but really is a low class state and lots of low class people that are narrow minded

I could be in Vegas down the road and set up my operation there off the strip

I know the town well, have a few beards there also
