Either of these should be able to give him an answer locally as ESPN America is on French cable as well, so if the in-laws have cable tv ...

I agree, more often than not the resolution sucks and the connection is choppy.

I would go with the gamepass too.

Just have him watch it on TV there in France, if he can't find it then just go to one of the streaming sites and stream it.

He can also pay to watch it from the NFL website. I believe the link below will show you nothing if you have a US IP address, but if you don't then it will show you your options.

    UPDATE:

Guess he was able to convince his in-laws to order the TV channel that will carry the game there! He said "ESPN", but ESPN America is not carrying it per their schedule, so I think he must mean AFN or NASN, which are the ones I see listed as showing NFL. He said it was really cheap, like only a couple euros a month or something.

Anyway, thanks for all the suggestions -- now I know what thread to pull up when I want to watch a random college hoops game I bet on!

Hmmm as far as I knew NASN was taken over/renamed to ESPN America a few years ago (shrug)

I think bskyb on 28.2e Asta2 are showing the game, but you might not have a motorised dish/sub etc. Dont think ESPN America on 19.2e will cover the game. As a last resort you could check out myp2p.eu and the forums over there. I'm a streamer over there and will probably cover all 4 playoff games this weekend on streamtorrent... Not the greatest quality but doesnt get shut down every 10 minutes like veetle

Edit: Also check out http://liveonsat.com/LJ_usa_football_ALL.php, it states espn america (on astra1 and astra 1a) should cover the game...

I think you are right, Chachi, he is telling me it's ESPN America. But how come when I check their schedule, the games are not listed?. It shows NFL Countdown but no listing for the games.

indeed ... Jubbly's site is brilliant

(the LJ in the logo stands for 'Luvely Jubbly' ... the screen name for an old-timer in the UK satellite 'code' scene from the 90s who set that website up years ago)

OK looks like its definetly going to be show on the European (and not British) ESPN America. This is from their official site

    http://www.espnamerica.com/fr/f2/tv-schedule

Scroll down to around the 2200 CET mark

You guys beat me to it.
I was going to tell you ESPN America too.
I also live in Europe and I found it on Satellite. I've been a very happy man since!

They do show NFL games on Sundays as I've watched many.
