they didn't quit...ND is just an incredibly hot team. annihilated utah, annihilated army, and beat USC in their stadium. ND defense has given up 1 TD in their past 15 quarters (and that 1 TD was a turnover on the 2 yard line...it took USC 4 downs to get it 2 yards for a TD lol).

I guess, but there's no way to predict if team will fight for interim coach or not. Like NIU fought hard and play loose and extremely well against Fresno with their interim coach, yet Miami lays an egg here. Miami and NIU finished regular season poorly and devastated.

Was there any way to foresee how either team would react? Doubt it, just another example of "angles" providing 0 practical worth when capping a sports game.

Notre Dame is a dominant force in college football. Yes, they had a few unlucky bounces this year. They could easily be undefeated though and should rightfully be in the national championship. Hopefully everyone will see this performance and have ND ranked #1 to start next season. Not a big deal though if they aren't because they will likely win each game by 50 or so next season when they win the national championship.

Its nice to be on the side of the team that benefits from the other not giving a shit

It happens in bowls quite frequently, see Nebraska last night.

    Good stuff with ND today

    Fukk Miami. Fukk Nebraska.

If you aren't going to even try, stay the fukk home. There are plenty of D-I teams that would love the opportunity to play in a Bowl game, any Bowl game. But you crybaby fukks get to go instead and disrespect yourselves, your program, and your university, so fukk you.

In Hurricanes defense, I bet they didn't think they would be in a cold weather game playing in Texas. 37 degrees? Yikes!!!

Kinda hard to motivate teams like Nebraska and Miami who were Top 10 earlier in the season and ended up playing in the Toilet and the Outhouse Bowls respectively.

I dont think Miami quit just by the guy knocking himself out on the last play for nothing.

They didn't quit. They wouldn't have played so hard at the end if they quit.

They were overmatched just like they are every year. Did you fall for the "miami has the better athletes" line of reasoning?
