Well since it's on a neutral court... Is it played in a vacuum or does Coach K have to take crap for running up the score? Is it on TV? (The boys will be taking a lot of crap if they play too hard.
I'll take Duke -34.5 for the first half.
Depends if Duke truly wanted to embarass Conn or not lmao.. If they did, Id say 116-32 playin full strength not giving up any easy baskets and playin for real.. If they wanted to toy with Conn, maybe a 60 point blowout 93-34
Yeah, obviously this line would be around -100. What do you think the line would be in a UConn women vs Boys HS State champ game? IMO even that line would be HS boys like -30 at least. It's not even a comparison between the two levels of ability.
I would take any line up to 40...and then be afraid that Duke wouldn't run up the score. And winning by 40 would be accidental...not running up the score. If they really tried...final score: 132-18
If they play hard the whole game and not hack around and take it easy on them and not take it as a joke and go lightly on them..
DUKE -74.5
116.5 total
They'll probably score on 93% of their possessions. they'll just keep taking it to the hole and the girls won't be able to stop them.. and if the girls try to take it inside, they'll get stuffed 85% of the time, or they'll miss.
Game should end 95-21.. girls might hit a few trays from Downtown.
It depends what side the refs want to be on. If they're on Uconn, it might be touch foul central, with Duke picking up fouls for even breathing on the girls. Uconn would score half their points at the line and probably keep it within 50.
Duke would win by over 100 EASILY. Sorry to the women (and I am a fan of women's college basketball), but if Duke put forth the effort, Uconn would have a hard time even getting off shots. You guys underestimate just how much bigger, stronger, faster, and overall more athletic college male athletes are over their female counterparts.
Just because there are some women out there who can kick our tails at the Y doesn't mean the best 20 year old women can come close to competing against the best 20 year old men. The line would have to be Duke -120 or more.
Not too many years ago, Old Dominion had one of the best women's teams in the nation. They were in National Championship games, and killed Uconn, Stanford, Tennessee, etc. That ODU team practiced against men as part of their regular routine. These weren't men college basketball players; they were simply male students at ODU. That team--the best in the nation at the time--routinely got beat by the squad of men scrubs in a scrimmage.
