I have submitted my contact information, and I hope to be considered for this position. I have a BS in Psychology as well as English and I feel that I would be an excellent fit for this position. I am an avid sports handicapper and I whole-heartedly and thouroughly enjoy conducting research and dissecting games. I am honestly excited about this opportunity and I would greatly appreciate an opportunity to showcase my writing and sports betting aquired skills in some sort of "write-off" or something of that nature. I am currently working diligently on my Masters degree and I conclude that this would be an awesome employment opportunity. I have submitted my info, as noted, and I will be looking forward to hearing back from someone. I am eager to submit a resume if needed. (In case my original message did not go through, I can be contacted on SBR or at gdoom@students.fairmotstate.edu) Thank you for you time and attention in this matter.

looking forward for some type of writing contest to decide who gets this. at least i'd like to see how i compare with other bloggers in terms of writing ability. i have huge confidence in my abilities and am an avid reader of SI, ESPN and sbrforum. i know what it takes to be a sports writer and am constantly "tweaking" my articles. also i wrote for my college paper. dont think education matters that much for this position though as my BS in chemistry pretty much is useless for a position like this.

thanks for the opportunity bill and SBR.

From the description of the job (read first post) it doesn't seem that posting winners is a requirement. In fact the only requirement is to write a nice article by using available stats and give an angle to justify your pick. If you can add some humor in it will even be better. But you can write the best and funniest articles all year long and get the most views and your record can be 30% and still get hired for the job.

So it's a create-it-yourself-and-see-what-happens 'opportunity', rather than a paid position.

hey SBR...check my sportsbook stats for the week.I'm winning at an extremely high rate as of late, am chomping at the bit for this opportunity. I've been carefully taking notes on all my plays, and already create write-ups for myself...I would love to be able to share these with an audience that isn't going to peruse through my hard work like an average post in a handicapping subforum. It really is discouraging when I see all the drama that takes place, and would feel at least like my time would be being spent in a worthwhile fashion. I've learned alot from this website, and many many posters who HAVE taken time out of their busy schedules to create writeups I've found invaluable in the past. I want to give back, no tout bs. I remember Justin7 taking time out of his busy ass day to answer what I'd now consider to be novice questions about capping when I first joined the forum. He had plenty of followers, was making videos for SBR, and still took the time to respond to private messages from a new forum member. Pay it forward.

This sounds like a good opportunity to earn a little scratch for something that is fun/helpful to do anyway.

Is there any requirements regarding reliability? I would like to write about tennis again but my schedule doesn't allow me to meet regular deadlines.

This thread is hilarious. Suddenly everybody is a writer. Unless SBR sets up a Bleacher Report type of site, nobody will read the fluffy crap this type of job description (or lack thereof) will attract.
