Did I really just hear that UConn doens't deserve a BCS game?

Ok BCS teet suckers, you can't have it both ways.

Conferences have automatic bids per the BCS rules...period. Certain conferences were designated as worthy through the infinite wisdom of the money grubbing BCS committee so it doesn't matter if a conference champion was 6-6 or if they had lost to three Div 1-AA teams.

That's the price for excluding deserving teams such as Boise St this year and snubbing TCU or any other non-automatic qualifying conference teams from the past.

Uh, the majority of people actually disagree with the BCS. It is this same majority that realizes UCONN sucks.

Agree with Stale. A lot of college football fans think the BCS system is total bullshit and saying UConn does not deserve the game is just enforcing their argument for an overhaul of the system.

Heard this from the BCS backing pundits on ESPN, were talking about making an exception so teams like UConn also get excluded.

I would like to think that UCONN can keep this close, but after the Rutgers debacle I do not know that I will be backing them with any $Skrilla$

This is not a very good Oklahoma team this year but I agree they will win decisively. The ACC and Big Least should have to qualify for an automatic bid each year.

Uconn is a completely different team since that game. They can cover the 17, I don't think they can win though.

It is possible, especially with this much prep time. Hopefully they will go out there and not embarrass the Big East, as a WVU fan I feel pretty awful that we did not get that bowl, I think we wold have had a better shot, and come in as a single digit dog.

Practically speaking a D-1 team could not qualify for any bowl game if they lost three games to D1-AA teams under the current rules. Those games don't count toward the minimum, so that team would have to win six D-1 games to be bowl eligible. Arizona State played two of those games, finished 6-6 and was not bowl eligible.

I know the D-1 rule but it was just a hypothetical to accentuate a point. Actually they would have to have 7 D-1 wins under this scenario.

The biggest travesty that I see is an 8-4 Temple team that beat UConn not going to ANY bowl. The Sun belt has two 6-6 teams and a 7-5 team in bowls, all of the service academies are in, and about 6 other 6-6 teams. Cmon!!

True that,I think LSU, Boise state or Mich state should all be there b4 unconn, unless we are talking womens basketball then uconn rules. But BOL it would be there greatest win ever but there best player is the coach so I don't see a win or a cover OU wins big. And Temple should be in a bowl over mtsu or another 6-6 team 4 sure.

I think UConn keeps it closer than people think. Great coach, fundamentally sound, run the ball and the clock.

Well, michigan won by 20, temple won by 14, louisville won by 26 and a strong rutgers team 4-8 won by 3. I think OU can take care of uconn for some reason, but you never know BOL.

That automatic bid stuff is crap, UCONN is a bad team and if it were not for Todman they would be at the apex of futility.

Great point there are just better teams than uconn playing in bs bowls and not a bcs bowl because uconn gets the automatic bid, time to change the bcs.

BCS should have compromised and sent Boise St with the stipulation that they take UCONN's kicker with them.
