Do you agree with this? Are you a very similar person NOW, to then

I hope not. All I did was drink, smoke, get laid, repeat...

Somehow I doubt Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, and Woody Allen did these things.

Do you guys think successful entrepreneurs spent their time doing these things?

Boys, I'm still doing the same thing and I'm not rich like the men described above.

How do we get off this track? SBR is the #1 source of advice

if only ttaylor was here. He could set me straight.

hey BBR, i'm sorry about that AVALANCHE loss pal. I can't believe those f_ucks choked and got their ass whooped at home, AGAIN. I'll make it up to you.

I will NOT post this as a HARVARD LEAN since I only do one play every 2 weeks or so, but I will say BALL STATE should beat E MICH this Saturday. THREE WORDS-- STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE.

I know BALL ST D is whore s_hit, but that is against QUALITY TEAMS. Anyone that thinks E Mich has faced some great teams please check in... They've had a weak ass schedule!!!

I love who BALL ST has played and the only reason we aren't seeing PK is because... well, last years OT victory is the only thing I can think of, or the fact the public thinks E MICH is good.

These f_ucks ended an 18 game losing streak in OT last year... it will NOT happen again. (( YES FOLKS I AM NOT KIDDING THIS E MICH CLUB WENT WINLESS IN 2009 ))

      BALL STATE +120

if drinking makes you feel good then I dont see a problem with it

              just 2 things:
              1. go to the doctor and get a checkup on your liver every now and then, make sure its not fukced up

              2. dont get so drunk that you'll end up blowing a goat

Steve Jobs and Bill Gates both dropped out of college. They both smoked weed and hinted at dropping acid when they were younger.

they were smarter than the average college student though

and they knew they could make it without a proper education, most people will end up waiting tables without a degree

Yep, I think mushroom is right on this. How many of us w/o a degree are walking around rich?

I took a hotel management in Laughlin, NV and that was my way out of the US anti sports betting LoL. But the way things are going now, it looks good for online bettors

Yes, they were smart. They made their money being sneaky, though. What did either of them actually invent? They took somebody else's invention, and marketed it.

that's what I was thinking when you first mentioned them

well the truth is they didnt really take somebody else's invention and marketed it, they came up with an idea and hired someone else to do it for them, there is more money into being a business man than an inventor, that is why I went to business school and not engineering school

but the truth is they are/were visionaries and they changed the world

                            Very true, they were visionaries.

My point to the OP's post was that who you are in high school does not correlate into who you are now. It's your choice if you want to be a product of your environment or not. All that matters is how bad you truly want it. Sure, we all dream of being rich, but how many people actually want it bad enough to make it happen? Most people are content living their day-to-day existing lifestyles.

I know man. They sucked the big one. All that aside, I layed a big fat loser but I'm looking to get it all back on track with BALL ST.

And honestly I still believe in COLORADO. I think they layed a f_ukcing egg at home, AGAIN!!!!! You have to wonder, how long will this last? 1-4 at home? How long before this team open ups a can of whoop ass? Maybe never? Maybe sooner than later....

I know it stings, but this is a quality team. They've put up whore s_hit goals but I believe they will deliver. Stick with it, BBR

Maybe it's because I went to a large high school, my graduating class was around 1,100, but I found the exact opposite with my class. The people with the more active high school social lives seem to have peaked right around graduation. The mentality of being 'the shit' at a young age only leads to the real world kicking your ass.

I was pretty shy and antisocial through most of my high school days. I was also a big time follower. It wasn;t until I started working for a living when everything turned around. Its like my mom told me. You couldn't get me to say two words when I was a kid. Now I won't shut up.

I had one best friend, and we would go to the arcade every Friday and Saturday night. I had a very domineering father, so if I had tried any of those things, he would have beaten me within an inch of my life. The eventful side of my life didn't start until I was about 19.

The people with the more active high school social lives seem to have peaked right around graduation. The mentality of being 'the shit' at a young age only leads to the real world kicking your ass.
100% agree. I had right at 1000 in my graduating class, and the same is true. Its no different than with athletes. Lots of tremendous high school athletes peak at 18, and their dominance doesn't translate into the college game. Even fewer are able to keep progressing into professional sports.

I think life is the same way. You're born with a level in which you could rise to and be successful. Its called the Peter Principle. Now rather you reach your highest level of competency is up to you. Look at the CEO's of giant companies. Its simply unfathomable what all they can handle. I consider myself a fairly smart guy, and a good businessman......but I don't kid myself into thinking I could do what a Jack Welch or someone of his stature could do. Only a handful of guys in the world that could.

                                                    Good luck.

Looking back I can see that all they were doing is winding me up and then watching me go.
